    Hi Vicci,
Im doing fine, well so so i have to confess i do miss my food and would love to eat something normal!! Finding it hard to eat with others as my food seems to get so cold and i cant eat cold food so tend to give up!
Down 24.5lbs so that always picks me up again and makes me realise why i had this op....

Not started excercise yet as still having sharp pains in my left side they are not as bad but dont seem to be leaving me. I feel pretty much back to normal except for them, have you had any sharp pains? they can be very severe and seem to come on when i am doing things, weird!! Hope they are the norm!! Its good that you can hold alot of fluid im struggling getting my daily intake in. Had some mince today and that went down a treat was not able to eat much but found myself wanting to finish it but i just couldnt.
AH a whole new life hey! got alot of adjusting to do.
    Take care.

Its strange how surgeons differ, from what i have gathered Dr Dillemans leaves us with a slightly bigger pouch to try to prevent dumping i think its called capella.... this is also probably the reason that we can eat earlier. 6 weeks of stockings and 4 weeks of clexane OMG I only had to wear stockings to i was fully mobile as per pre-op and a total of 13 days of clexane 3 in hospital and 10 days from discharge.
But hey no matter what we have to deal with over the next few weeks/months it is going to be well worth it. Are you missing food yet? I have to admit that i do miss eating i suppose it has always been my best friend always there when i felt low but i have to realise that its not my friend but my enemy......
    Take care

    Hi Vicci,
Wow thats brilliant it feels so good to be losing dosn't it? I weigh every wednesday since i had my op on a wednesday and this week i lost 4.5lbs so 16lbs since op and 22.5lbs since pre-op diet so i too am very happy!!!
Im not sure what your surgeon advises you to eat but we have been on o puree diet since day 3 post op and had to stay on that for 2 weeks so from tomorrow i can move onto a minced/soft diet for 2 weeks so i am really looking forward to eating something that resemables real food not liking the puree and am so fed up with soup!!!!!
Still having the odd sharp pain in my left side but my wounds are amazing so small and well healed so in a nut shell im fine so glad to be this side though.
Let me know how you are feeling/eating.
