I originally went to him for the band but after some researach decided bypass was better for me. He tried to talk me into the band. Did he mention the band to you? He's always been known for the band. Although if you look at his numbers side by side he has still done more bypasses. Its just that he does more bands currently.

He told me he does 12 bands a week compared to 1 bypass. So thats probably why I was the only bypass. He's definitely more of a band doctor. I see him on Monday for my two month appointment. 40 pounds is great especially since you don't have very much to lose. I still have a long way to go.

Hey! How are you doing? How was your vacation? I went to Dr. B's support group but was the only bypass person there. The rest were bands. It didn't really do much to help me except make me really glad I did the bypass over the band. Congrats on your weight loss. I'm down about 53. I need to get more active!

I usually work around 6 hours a day. My schedule is very flexible. I am directly under one of the owners and he decided that he was going to take a little vacation before I left for surgery. He just got back after being gone a week. He is such a jerk to do that. My job is 24/7 so if one of us is gone the other eats, sleeps and breaths the business. He knew I had stuff to do before the surgery (preparing). Today is living hell at work. He is so OCD and checks me on everythin I did over the past week. I answer the same questions over and over......

Ugh! I am dreading the few days after surgery. I know my hubby isn't going to clean the floors, dust or anything else for that matter. What will be funny is him taking care of the baby by himself. Now he will see all the work involved......

Last time I did jello shots it was for my 30th birthday. That rocked! Big party....big enough the Salem PD came by to wish me a happy b-day and to cease the loud music and pot smoking.....LMAO. It was awesome!

I can't wait for no cravings. My life is so different from what it used to be that I got into the habit of entertaining myself with food. I'll tell you what went wrong because I have never been this overweight and maintained around 140 for many years. I stopped smoking the green when I met my hubby 3 years ago. He didn't like it and so I stopped cold turkey. I turned my addiction to food and the pounds piled on - especially during the pregnancy.
Well, back to my jello - are jello shots ok? LOL

No, no gorging but it was the little things like stealing a few fries from my daughter's meal or drinking a big fat daiquiri. Yesterday I was supposed to eat only soft foods. I hardly ate anything. Today it's just clear liquids and I am struggling a little bit but it's not bad. I think it's more the fact that I can't have real food if I wanted.

How are you handling your new eating habits while on vacation?
Thanks for your excitement. That makes one of us I'm still so nervous and I have to admit this to someone. The guilt is killing me......I haven't been eating very good lately. They never said anything about doing two weeks of protein shakes prior to surgery so I never asked. I am so fearful that I have screwed up my surgery and I will have a huge fat liver. The surgeon has not said anything about a fatty liver and the only thing they have said is clean up my diet pre-op, drink protein shakes 2 days prior to surgery and drink clear liquids day before surgery. I am ashamed of my bad self. I feel like I have no self control.
