She is welcome to read the Log Book, of course. Remember, my wife Bones IS a doctor - yes, a medical doctor in private practice. She was a lot more comfortable with the sleeve than the Band. The complication rate between the sleeve and the band is almost the same - and as more sleeves are done the sleeve will get statistically better. Plus, you will lose more weight with sleeve - and that is for certain. VSG is less expensive. The same price initially, but the Band is more due to the cost of repeated fills.

Thanks, Aviator. I read you log book a while back, but would love to take another look. I'm on the fence right now about my type of surgery and I'm talking to my wife tonight about the sleeve again. My surgeon is fine with me switching, but my wife is the one who seems nervous. Perhaps, I'll have her read your log book!

Now that you've found Aviator's Log book, a few days prior to surgery when the "nerves" set in, I suggest that you read it from the beginning to let you know what you're in for. It takes me from a few days pre-op until now - 4 months post op.
Im intent on posting pre-op and 4 month out photos soon. We are so similar in BMI, I think you can expect similar results. Heh, heh...Im also a musician (for fun) too. Cheers.
