So I had the surgery and the first 4 days were miserable in the hospital. I couldn't even think about eating my protein drinks. I never touched any of the food they brought instead I just kept drinking the water. I needed to do the migranal. I am working on getting my walking up and my protein up. My mom is leaving me today. I've had either my mom or my dad out all week so I think I'm ready. I'm not going it alone. Sean's uncle is still here playing nanny to the kids and chofure too me....

I finally finished up all the paperwork. All the tests are done. I met my weight loss goal. So I called the NP and she called back of course I missed the call. So the next morning I call and she answered her phone. OMG that never happens. We set up pre-op for Oct 28 and Surgery Nov 3. I'm having the gastric sleeve done. The same day I scheduled my SIL had an emergency c section. I'm having a really hard time focusing on anything. I'm so distracted it's not even funny. oh well I'm moving...

So I haven't posted here in a long time. Things got really complicated and I decided to take some time off and deal with hubby. For a while he was supposed to leave and then they canceled. He was supposed to leave in early February. Instead they canceled. So there was no rush right. No they came back on the day he was supposed to leave and said your going. So he left about 2 weeks later for 7 months.

I figured I'd have my mom with me for surgery but I got frustrated. I gained...

So yesterday and Tuesday I had 5 appointments between the 2 days. I spent tuesday morning with the Pain Specialist. He gave me a CPAP for sleep apnea to take home. Boy is that frustrating. I had always told myself I didn't have sleep apnea but I do.

Then I saw the dietician I was down 2 pounds from her last weigh in. I told her I was doing weight watchers because I was failing without something more than her support 2 times a month. She was actually very supportive. ...

I am feeling better than earlier in the week. I've manged follow my Weight Watchers points as closely as humanly possible. I log everything I eat. It really has helped me to look at how I am eating.

I feel a little better about what I'm doing now. I go back to the dietician on tuesday and see the psychologist on wednesday.

I guess the big difference is my son is learning how to cook totally different meals. We did turkey meatloaf in muffin tins for portion control....

Hi, I am having my first appointment with my consultant tomorrow morning. I am so nervous. My doctor told me they will be very hard on me and try to dissuade me from having surgery as it is so expensive so I'm not looking forward to the appointment. But back to the point of this message. I share the same goals as you with regard to going to Disney World and "fitting" on all the rides and the seat on the plane. And walking around without getting swollen legs and backache. I keep looking at the progress of the people on this site and I can't believe it might one day be me.

Anyway just wanted to wish you good luck and let you know not everyone on this site has already lost all the weight. I am feeling like the hardest battle will be to get the op approved in the first place. But if it is then I am so ready for the challenge.

Hope everything goes well for you. :-)
