hi vicki! sorry it's been so long. i had my surgery july 15th/ and am doin good. i go for my first fill (lapband) august 28th/. really lookin forward to it cause i'm experiencing hunger now again. nothin like it use to be before surgery, but i like it the way it was right after surgery when i didn't get hungry really and it took very little to feel really full. so yeah i'm lookin forward to some saline bein thrown in that dude. good luck wt. your insurance. turns out mine didn't cover and i had to pay out of pocket. but don't worry i just have crappy insurance. i'm sure you'll do fine wt. yours. so your bout there. i'm excited for ya and look forward to hearin from ya again soon. i'll try not to be so long messagin next time. ttys~tammy!!!
Hey Tammy!! How ya doing?? I haven't heard from you in awhile and just wanted to catch up. I have all my papers submitted and just waiting for insurance approval. With my insurance approval or denial usually only takes about 10 business days... Hoping to be a September Stapler.

OMG vicki i did the same thing you did. i just got finished writen a long message to ya and when i went to post it i realized i was on my on profile then when i went to copy i like a nut hit delete instead! duh!!! anyways hi vicki! it's so good to hear from ya and thanks for acceptin my friend invite. i just absolutely love this site. i chose vanderbilt cause of insurance purposes. i know a couple of people that were turned down at centennial and baptist but was covered by insurance at vanderbilt so that's why i chose vanderbilt. but now please don't be discouraged cause if your co-workers had no problems then your insurance coverage should be fine at those places. oh and bout the amount of weight. i have a total of 180-200lbs. to lose. they tell me closer to 200 but i think closer to 180. i don't want to be a stick. i'm 5'8" and big~boned and i look really sick if i weigh less than 160lbs. i want a round face, not a sucked in one! lol! anyways i would like to be 150-155lbs. just for security measures i guess. i'll just have to wait and see what i look like when i get close to that range. i'll be attendin a group meetin this comin thursday at vanderbilt and i'm doin this one on line for a total of my two, but i will remain an active member on this one cause i absolutely love bein able to chat wt. people that know what i'm goin thru. i know my family has got to get tired of hearin me talk bout this surgery and everything involved, but ya know it's alot to talk bout. so i'm just soooo thankful to have people like yourself that understands. oh vicki i chose the lap band cause i'm too big a weenie to have the other one. my husband just keeps tellin me that at least if somethin goes wrong they can reverse the lap band whereas they can't the others. i'd love to lose the weight quicker and i see lots of people on here that have did wonderful wt. the lap RYN but i'm just a chicken~cluck!!! i'm hopin by losin mine slower it will allow me time to tone my skin better. i'm so worried bout the excess skin issue. vicki if ya have anymore questions feel free to ask and i'll do my best to answer them and there's also a friend i've made on here named MiladyB that has went thru it all that i just love hearin from. ya might want to invite her as a friend too. i'd say she could answer any questions that anybody would have. well i'll go for now. look for me on line and we'll chat more or write anytime. i look forward to hearin from ya again. ttys~tammy!!!
Hiya Tammy!! All I have done so far is go to the seminar at Centennial. I am waiting on my Doctor to send medical files to them, so they can send to insurance. I know my insurance covers the procedure because 3 or 4 people where I work has had it done this last year. At first I was looking into the lap band procedure, but I have a substantial amount of weight to lose (140 lbs). Also, I'm not very patient and afraid I will get discouraged with the slower weight loss of lap band, and plus the ability to cheat with the lap band. What made you choose Vanderbilt? I chose Dr Dyer and Centennial because of the other women at the office that had went with him, and Centennials program seems to be top notch. So are you looking to have surgery in June? I figure mine wont be until august. Are you going to attend any of the support group meetings in BG? I think they have one the 3rd thursday of each month at the mall. How much weight are you wanting to lose? Keep in touch, it's nice having people close to home to talk too. I work in BG so maybe we will get to meet.

hi vickilyn! i'm gettin ready for my surgery also and i live in south central too! i'm sure you've probly heard of scottsville aka~DEAD-VILLE!!! LOL!!! my surgeon is gonna be dr. richards from vanderbilt. i've been cleared for everything and go back on the 23rd/ of this month for everything to be sent to insurance and to weigh in. i'm one week into pre-op diet by reguest of dietitian. i will be havin the lap band surgery. what surgery are you havin? i look sooooo forward to talkin to ya!!! ttys~tammy!!!
