Well it has 21/2 months since my surgery and I am doing very well. thanks for everyones concern. I am down to 225 pounds and losing more everyday. Best thing I have ever done for myself. So much more energy than before and when I pass the mirror I take a double look if that is really me.

Well Monday was the big day, and after waiting to get into preop for 4 hours, I was finnally wheeled in and got out into recovery about 5pm and he told my hubby that it was a text book surgery. Well of course I was out of it, but got up and made myself walk at 10:30 that night. The worst day seemed to be on Tuesday, lots of pain around the bigger incision sight, but all looks great everyone says. I wish it did not hurt so much to stand up or walk. I can deal with eating the small portions not a problem, just want the pain to be gone. So I will continue to read books and sip sip and more sip and stay away from the ridiculously stupid day time TV. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

Hey there Ms. Hollow!!! CONGRATULATIONS on your surgery. I see you have the elder Davis that is doing your surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Garth and he so wonderful. I cried when I seen him because he looks the same in person as he did on TV. I am traveling all the way from Sunny Florida to have my surgery in Texas so I am excited. I will be saying prayers for you and please keep in contact, I want to know how you're doing.

Well 35 hours till my surgery! I can not even believe it is really going to happen. I am part sacred, sad and so happy. I know it sounds weird, but sacred about the surgery and the pain after, part sad about losing my favorite foods and so happy that I am going to have more energy and be able to live long enough I hope to hold my grand babies! In the end I know it will be all worth it. I am telling my self that the pain is going to be horrible, so that way maybe it will not really be that bad. Lots of praying I will be doing tonight and tomorrow. Please keep me in your prayers.

Hi I am just looking into getting GBS. Went to my obgyn/endo last week and ask him about lab band and he said that would not be for me and that I should look into the GBS. First time in my life I have ever been referred to by my doc as morbidly obese. This scarred the Sh--- out of me. He told me if I do not do something now when I am young that I would most likely die a horrible painful death. SInce that visit I have been looking at web sights and check my insurance coverage. United health care, if I read it right it is covered, but I have to contact them first before anyone else to get complete coverage. I am so new at all this, but want to make sure i do not make too big of mistakes along the way. Has anyone had any experience with this insurance company. Any pointers I could get along the way would be appreciated. Thanks
