Hi Sherry! Sorry it took so long for me to get back w/ ya...i havn't turned the comp on in a while lol! I actually go in and see Dr. Ali tomorrow. Im not sure if hes gonna do A fill or not. I also gained weight in the hosp! On the morning of my surgery i was 281 and after surgery i was 290. i got down to 270 but now im at 273. ive gained a few pounds as im hungry now..lol! I had a problem keeping down even a sip of water after my surgery so the next morning after my surgery,(after i cried and cried to the nurses for over 17 hrs), they finally contacted Ali and he sent me for a barium swallow immediatley and that showed that the band was too tight and they had to take out all the fluid. they wanted me to stay in the hosp for 4 to 5 days till the swelling went down to see if i needed to go back in and have the band removed and a bigger 1 put in. Of course I refused lol! There was no way i was going through all that again so soon lol!

Hi Sherry-Lynn thanks for your welcome its a great place I am asked each time the clinic calls me if I have any questions and I say no because I like to look here and get the facts from the people who have been there or going there. Only they know how we feel and whats ahead mind and body wise.

Hi DogMom! We live in Jefferson,OH. How close are you? You're not going to belive this, but I just added two nre pics to our fur children album...........they're of our brand new Saint Bernard Puppies, George and Gracie! Now We have a Gracie. So sorry for the loss of you two, hurts bad! Our Cat is 13 years old, and she had better stay in good shape. I came home Monday, April 27, and we went and got our puppies later that day! I'm crazy, I know. But my Husband has been off of work the whole time, hell be going back Wednesday, May 6th. I have a friend coming over that day to help out, My Husband's usual day off is Thursday, and Friday I'll be on my own, but I'll be justover 2 weeks post-op. I think you're going to need some help. I was afraid of getting stuck in the recliner, or some silly thing like that, plus, I can't drive until I'm two weeks post-op. I'm feeling really, really good! I feel very blessed about that. Hello, I am new to the TT site. I seen that you're from North East Ohio, what part? I am as well. Another thing we have in common is a love of animals. I was looking at the pic's of your 'fur children.' Adorable! Sorry for the loss of your 3 dogs. We lost Gracie (shep-lab mix) to cancer in 3/06, she was 2mos. shy of 8yrs. old. Then this past March we lost our kitty Kali to cancer, she was 12yrs. old.

Wishing you an easy and speedy recovery. The focus required for this WLS should help keep you busy and take your mind off the loss of your beloved pet. How are you feeling? I'm debating on whether or not to arrange some help for me and the dogs immediately after surgery?! Hubby will be gone all day. Since you've just had surgery and have pets, any advise? I'm having Lap RNY on May 26th. I can't wait to start on the path to my new life.

That is so great that u feel so well!! guess that means no regrets for u..lol!! im doing pretty good. Im 2 weeks out today. I have lost a total of 14 lbs so far. I had a few complications w/ the band, but was glad to come home from that hospital!! still a little sore where my port is but otherwise i feel good.

Hi Sherry! I believe we met at Dr. Ali's office a few weeks back when we were there for our consent signings! I am still very new to this site and still trying to figure out how to use it lol! I hope all went well w/ your surgery!
