Jst wanted to say thanks again for the hell week check list! You have no idea how it helped me to prepare!!! I have it printed and saved in my binder! You rock!
Oh, Sherry,
I quite understand - have been there and done that BUT... as you write, hopefully upping the iron intake will help.
Having had the same scenario upon my return from a new job, I changed my homecoming timetable a bit so as to "get a life" and not get dragged down. I had arranged everything for my own self so that when I came home, I was greeted by either a plate of a cold meal prepared waiting in the fridge, or, if you have a microwave (in the "early days" of 25 years ago I didn't!), all ready on a plate to stick into the microwave. In the morning, before going to work, I had laid the table in readiness for my homecoming. (I had had my main meal of the day at lunchtime.) I had one basket of laundry ready to put on upon my return and took the wet one from the morning out for the dryer. Then I prepared my packed lunch for the next day and evening meal for the fridge. Had a shower, got into my nightwear, then had my prepared supper, cleared it away, laid the breakfast things out... I was then free to read, make phone calls, polish shoes, mend buttons or watch tv and "crash". I operated the same way when I had a family.
I'm sure you have your own methods and will improve soon! So, how are you enjoying your job? Do you have any "homework" to do to keep up with it? (I write tons of lists, profiles on colleagues etc to help set up a Who's Who - comes in handy a few months down the line!).
Fingers crossed, wishing you a truck full of energy and happy days!
Cheers,
Vim
