Hi Stephannie. I just wanted to thank you for the comments on my story thread. I see that your surgery was last week. I hope all went well and that you are safely home. Let us know how things are going! I also see that you are an RN. What kind of unit do you work on? I'm an RN too. Well just wanted to welcome you to the loser's side. I'm sorry I didn't see your comment to me until tonight. I was very touched by it. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to be of support for you as you start this exciting journey. It really is awesome but it is also emotionally hard so know that you don't have to do this alone.

Good luck to you too! I go npo at 9 am but after midnight can have only water or clear liquids. I am so nervous and excited all at the same time. I am not sure how I am going to sleep tonight. I am packed and my grandma is here from Charlotte to help my husband take care of me. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and I hope that everything goes well. I will see you on the losers bench!

I just read that your surgery is at 1:30. Mine is at 1...we really are podmates. My hubby and I used to live in Monroe and Indian Trail till we moved to Asheville. What hospital are you having your surgery at, CMC? Pre op is tomorrow for me. I have lost the weight required, and that was the last thing that I had to have done. Whew, just breathe!

Girl i am right there with you. The nerves set in last night, I cried in bed until I fell asleep last night. But I am excited too. Luckily I do not have to work this weekend, however I am taking my Science Olympiad kids to competition ALL day on Saturday. Monday will be here before we know it. What time is your surgery on Monday? Mine is at 1 pm, but I have to be there at 11 am
