Hi! My Iron Level is 21. I haven't been able to get the liquid Iron since surgery....My surgeon is referring me to a Hemotologist. My surgeon's nurse said my platelets are low. Does it sound like the 2 are related (Low Iron causing the Platelets to be Low, too?)

    Hi Rain,
I wanted to thank you for the liquid vitamins you recommended I got my labs back and the suggestions I was given for units of D etc. that I needed are all in the liquid vitamins you told me to get. They do not upset my stomach. Once again Thank you!

Rain, I live in Poway. Do you still have support meetings at your house? If so, is anyone invited. Let me know, as I would love to come to one and meet everyone. Thanks, Teresa

Hey Rain, first great news about the support group, wtg!!! I had my follow up with my Blood Dr and I am now having iron transfussions every week until further notice.Every Thursday, crazy right. My count was only 7.1, still way too low.He also advised me not to take iron supplements any longer until he can undertsnad why I am not absorbing iron the normal way.My b-12 was good and all other labs were good, just the drat iron.I will keep you posted, thanks for listening to me and my iron issues.

Rain, I have all my blood results, I was tested for Copper, would you know what the test for copper is called? I can only understand the normal ones. I will have more time to discuss the results next Thursday but the Dr. was only concerned right now with why my volume was so low.I was feeling better on Sat and Sun, now it's Wednesday and I am crashing again..Hope he can figure me out. Thanks for your help. A
