Just checking in. There's a slight chance that I might be moving out your way. Hubby's got to find a new job and I saw one for him in Scottsdale. As I mentioned I have family in Phx and now my other brother is talking about moving there. He lived there for a while and came back to NY. I'd like to be closer to my mom. So maybe we'll be neighbors. I'd love to not have to go through another NY winter again. I'll keep you posted.

Hmmm, I was thinking it would be good with linguesa, but that might be too fatty for a post-opper. Again, thanks for the recipe!

Oh I cook up the sausage first, then throw it in during the last hour of simmering the soup. Sometimes I'll cook little pasta shells separately and throw them in the bowl of cooked soup. Yum Kiddo likes it more and it's a nice change. But don't put the pasta in your leftover soup! (Store it separate). Otherwise it gets all gummy and soaks up the juice of the soup...Enjoy!

Oh, your bean soup sounds delish. Do you fry up that sausage first or does it cook in the soup broth? Thanks

I'm doing well. I was kind of sad the past two weeks. My best friend, my dog Chloe, passed away on the 22nd. She was a diabetic and was blind and deaf. We knew it was going to be a matter of time before we had to let her go. She fell down the stairs and injured herself, so we made that horrible decision. Because I'm such an animal lover, and felt such a void, I couldn't help myself and we adopted this adorable kitten. She's a Balinese. Absolutely adorable.

How are you? I think a book is a great idea. I've considered it myself at times, but it would have to be fiction because my life hasn't ever been very eventful. Happy, but mundane, I guess. I have a friend who is a CEO of a company. She told me last time I saw her that she wants to write a book too. I say go for it. You have a flair for the way you put things and I enjoy your writing.

I hope you're surviving the heat. I don't know if I mentioned it, but my mom and brother live in Phoenix. My mom lives off Happy Valley Rd in N Phoenix and my brother lives in Sun City. I keep hearing about how hot it is there. She moved there, I decided to stay in NY. Much cooler here. Tell me more about your book.
