Have a great time wherever you are going... I know that you said you can now go and see the sites with your total transformation.. Congrats again for you.. May your travels be fun.. I will be in West Hollywood for the week while doing my testing at Cedars Sinai Hospital. I wish you well and will write you when I return...
Happy Trails,
Tina...
Thank you Paul for so much reasurance that you have given me. I too haven't had to be on any restricted diet. I just have to do liquids 2 days before surgery thank goodness. I don't know if I could have handled the liquid diet before hand. I will reach out to this site as well as yourself for guidence on my journey. I am looking forward to it very much. My parents won't be very supportive of me since they aren't now, but I do have my youngest son (16) and my boyfriend on the front lines with me..hehe..
Isn't that funny that our birthdays are so close as our rebirthdays.. Wow, that is interesting I must admit.. We are sort of on the same wave length except I am one year behind you..lol... I will try to catch up asap..lol... You have done wonderful with your journey and I am so glad that you have such a devoted partner to be by your side through thick and thin.. That means a lot for a person... I know that I also have TT to turn to as well. They are wonderful on here and you all have so much advice ready to share with us noobs... hehe...
I am practicing sipping from a sippy cup I bought a while back so that I can adjust to drinking so little at one time. I must admit to you it feel very dry drinking this way, but I am sure in time I will adjust. I am normally a guzzler of water and other fluids so this will be a little trying on me, but I will keep up the faith..
Happy re-birthday Paul... I am so proud of you. I am exactly two weeks away for my re-birthday.. May 29th.. I am so nervous Paul. It is going by so quickly. I had my last frappacinno today. It was so good, but now I can't have them any longer. I am saying good by to sugary sweets. I need to break myself away from it before going under the knife. I know that I should have done it sooner, but I just wasn't ready. Now I think that I am. I have been drinking Crystal Light and water. I gave up sodas a while ago.. I don't plan on having any special meals before surgery. I am going to try to really eat healthy as best I can. Thank you for your friendship. I will be in touch when I get back from surgery...
I am so happy for you that you are now a free man in just one year. That is so amazing. Awesome job. I hope that I can do the same.. I will remember to walk walk walk right after surgery to heal faster... Wish me luck... You are in my thoughts..
Hugz,
Tina...
That is great news that you are walking freely without assistance. I am sure it is a welcomed change to not have to depend on a crutch or a cane.
I am so excited that you will be in my state. Fishing opener was last weekend... My Uncle did not even go fishing because it was too cold. He said his neighbors went out for a bit on gull lake... He said they were miserably cold though. The warmer weather is supposed to start moving in now though... so hopefully by the time you get here it will be nice!
I cannot wait to hear about your trip!
I look forward to traveling more when I shed some more of this weight!
Paul, my inspiring brother!
I will be especially looking forward to May 18th for us! It will be your wonderful new life anniversary and also the first opportunity for me to be back in my church's pulpit. A great Sunday, for which we can both be grateful to God.
Your Friend in Christ,
BillH
Loving the thought of you walking without external helpers!!! What a beautiful benefit to having this surgery --- that's what it's really about, huh? Love the photos... the one of the flowers should be framed - it's just breath-taking!
Enjoy your new life! You've worked hard to get to where you are today... what an inspiration and amazing success story!!!
Fantastico! Way to go, Paolo!!!! Your reaching goal so soon is an inspiration, my friend. I hope the hip and the plastic surgery are as painfree as possible and I am DELIGHTED to hear you've reached your goal weight. Congratulations on a marvelously successful thoughtful, and hard-won effort!
I cannot get over the fact that you are from that area! You enjoy your trip back there! I bet all your friends and family will be shocked at the change in you. I just read your post about your worries about your hip. I really think it is all going to work out for you. I agree with Mike and what the others wrote about giving yourself time to adjust from no crutches. I can understand your excitement to be free of them though!
Take care and make sure you update us on how your trip was!
Hugs... LeaAnn
