Hey, I totally understand. I remember what it was like early out when I wanted to eat everything, but every food I tried seemed to make me sick. But after two months, that stopped happening so much. In fact, sometimes things feel too easy and I forget I'm not "normal" so then forget to be careful and eat too fast and then feel sick. Arg! It is a constant process. In two days, I will be one year out and am still losing slowly (one pound in the last few weeks). I lost 35 pounds pre-op, and 141 since surgery. I'm still waiting to see where this all takes me. I have people telling me to stop losing now, but hey, I still weigh 161 -- even at 5'8" that is not light, LOL!

    Nyn,

Thanks so much for your response. Right now it's hard because my husband and my son still eat "regular food". Sometimes I'm tempted to taste it. (Not anything I can't have yet). It's just hard. I was such a junk food junkie. I want to develop a healthy relationship with food, and learn how to eat in moderation. I'm just anxious to get past the healing stage so that I can experiment with recipes and things! But you look so good! How long would you say it took you to lose your weight?

Hi Danielle! Thank you so much; you are so sweet! It's cool that you're trying to learn as much as possible. I don't think that I do anything special I'm pretty good about tracking food, exercise (which I should do more of), and my current weight into fitday.com. I know it can be controversial to weigh yourself every day, but I do anyway. It keeps my mind focused on the day-to-day aspects of this new lifestyle. I think I'd be more apt to be lazier about my choices if I didn't watch myself so closely. Now that I'm down to a normal BMI, I let myself have more leeway, but I'm still gonna weigh every day and try to make smart choices. I also let myself try things from time to time so there is no sense of "forbidden fruit". Considering that most "bad" stuff that I try makes me feel lousy, that probably helps too, LOL! I don't really full-on dump, but boy, it doesn't feel good. Another thing I'm careful about is making sure to take my vitamins every day and drinking a protein drink every day, so there's that. Please let me know if you have any more questions 'cause I'd love to help. Take care!

    Nyn,

Hi how are you? My name is Danielle and I am almost 3 weeks post of RNY. I am just starting my journey. I saw your pictures and I am just blown away! YOU LOOK FABULOUS! My gosh! You don't even need Plastic surgery! I want to do exactly what you did! So what did you do? Did you do anything special? Do you have any advice for me? I love your tatoos also, I have a butterfly on my wrist, and flowers on my foot. I want more, but my husband not a big fan! If he didn't mind, I would have them everywhere. Danielle
