    Hi,

Im glad everthings going ok for you and i hope the pain gets sorted soon!! Im now weighing in at 19st so thats 3st 4lbs off and im sooo happy!! I can almost eat anything now but like you just a lot less than before!! I have noticed that i dont get dumping syndrome though as i had one of those bottles of strawberry flavoured water, i thought i had the sugar free kind but nope it was the original!! It has 24g sugar in it so i thought i would have reacted badly but i was fine! Not even any nausea! People ask me if i could do it again knowing what i know now would i still do it and my answer is yeah of course without a doubt!!

    Keep in touch

    Hi Vicci,
Im doing good its 2 months today from i had my op, even though i dont weigh till wednesday i could not resist it i was trilled so see that i now weigh 15.12 (was 19.2 1/2) so im feeling very happy this morning, wont chart it till tomorrow though might have even shed another wee bit hey!!!
The eating is going well fit to eat almost everything now but in very snall quantities and still slowly but not as slow as at the start which is good.
Getting alot of pain still which is preventing me from exercising and that is really annoying me was at gp yesterday and she feels it could be gallbladder related i was looking for her to prescribe me the ursofalk but she wouldnt she wants me scanned first so waiting now to be called for a wee scan i suppose atleast i will know if it stones or not.
Apart from the pain i feel on top of the world and im so happy i had the surgery.
How about you and your progress? would love to hear how you are getting on....

Hi Noonie. Thanks for the honesty. I find I cope better if I know the good the bad and the ugly lol! I realise there are guna be some tough times ahead.... My mum had a band last xmas and she has had some proper low points but just to see her 6.5 stone lighter and how happy it makes her seems to make those low days a bit hazy. I don't think I will really truly understand until I experience it for myself but al least all the women in my family will be in the same boat!! I blame genetics we all classic pear shapes and really struggle to shift the weight of our lower halves! I think I'll try those protein shakes, some people have been sprinkiling the powder on food???? (I suppose you all find a way that suits you and your life style) I worry about work, you know what it's like sometimes you can't stop for a pee let alone a snack!! I've got a real mixture of emotions going on, excited, nervous, scared of the unknown, worried i might die etc etc!! I'm sure everyone feels the same. I spoke to Dr Dillemans today and that made me feel tons better. What a lovely man and he swears just my sort of person!! I'm really looking forward to meeting him in person!! I'm guna just take each day as it comes with the food! My dad made me laugh today as he said he thinks I exhibit some control freak qualities lol! Cos I wanted to have all the things i could eat in the house for when I came home!! FOOD!!! Hmm I wonder how I became overweight itn the first place lol!! Mum says that food has lost it's importance to her now, can't wait for that happen to me!!! Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. Ruby xxx

    Hi Noonie.

Our op is 29th!! I am so excited BUT bit sacred of the unknown too..... Congratulations of your huge weight loss Seems really weird that I too could lose as much weight as you have (it's beyond my comprehension at the moment)

You must feel and look fantastic!!! I can't wait to be able to go into all the shops I like and wear what I want! I'm a bit confused about vitamins, protein, iron etc at the moment. My mum had a band last Dec and her dieticikan said to take cytoplan said I got some of those but as for the rest I'm probably guna be picking all your brains alot in the near future!!! I aplogise in advance!!!! hehe.

What sort of stuff can you eat?

    Hi Noons

I'm with Vim on the Berocca - Boots do them sometimes on special 3 for 2.

    Other than that I take a Holland & Barrett B Complex + C and also a Boots Omega Oils 3, 6 and 9.

I don't take any protein supplements (at this stage) as I feel that I get all my protein in from the food that I eat. Early out I use to take the Whey Protein Vials (42g) which I diluted with water - don't taste very nice but did the trick ;-)

    That's about it

    Hej Noonie!
I'm glad you asked. Am dashing this reply off asap, sorry if it is not too complete by my standards!
I use BEROCCA vitamins: plop one tablet into water, let the fizz die down and enjoy the drink - a little like Fanta in taste! Also adds to your daily fluid intake!
As for the protein! I live by the MAXIMUSCLE PROMAX DIET, water mixable protein shakes. a whopping 53.4 grammes protein for 350 ml water! a pint glass, tastes like Nesquick with water, rather than some yucky stuff! Perfectly drinkable. Using chocolate or strawberry. The one drink acts as a replacement meal. However, as you are early out, you may find that you prefer to drink it in two sittings. I manage the one drink in one sitting now but feel really full, satisfied and "fed" for 2.5 hours! see Maximuscle on the internet - there is a women's and men's version. I take stuff from both.
I pop their protein bars in my handbag - a fantastic backup "emergency" "food" instead of reaching for a kitkat! Each bar holds 20.3/20.4 grammes protein and they taste like MilkyWay if only chocolate or Milky Way with orange flavour... Not some revolting hamster sawdust squash!
If you look under my post Vim's Umbrella you'll find my protein thread (last one) and find other's comments on it.
    Hope it all helps!
Get back to me when you need more info. Am feeling great and satisfied.
Also, you can get from the internet or via NATURE'S PLUS Spirutein protein, more like milk shakes, thicker, frothier.
In both instances, I use a blender, put in 2-4 icecubes, the protein powder, the water, and blend until the cubes are crushed, pour into a "special" glass that takes the quantity and make a "meal" / feast of it. When friends pop in for coffee, I sip my protein shakes and/or vitamins...
    Cheers,
    Vim

Well the final straw came today when i took my daughter and niece to a childrens party, we were all having a wonderful time when i bumped into a girl i used to work with and what did she ask me??? so how long have you left now? OMG i thought as she was referring to me being pregnant and you can imagine her face and how i felt when i replied 'oh i had a wee boy 15 weeks ago'. I have never felt so disgusted with myself so in a funny way she has helped to kick my butt into shape although...
