When is your seminar? I can't wait to find out when I'm going to have this done. I'm getting tired of waiting. Also, I started a new med and am losing weight. I don't want to lose too much or I'll be disqualified. I've been borderline right along. But I'm almost 53 and have been overweight for at least 30 years. I've had enough and want to lose 100 pounds.

Hi Nickey, I'm doing well, how about yourself? Did I tell you I got my appointment with the doc (finally)? I'm meeting him on 9/18. They told me it would be another 6 to 8 weeks after that before I can have the surgery. I'm getting very impatient. Another woman I met on this board (LizzieShell) who is having her surgery around the same time told me that at the next support meeting, a plastic surgeon who is new and working with the bariatric group is going to be speaking. I'm going. It's next Tuesday at 6:30 pm at Highland. I'm really interested because I know I'll at least need the tummy and boobs done after the surgery. I hope you can make it too.

I'm still mourning my Chloe too, but I find that Jezzie cheers me up. The whole family adores her. She is so tiny, but has a great personality. She actually comes when you call her. I've read that her breed acts more like a dog than a cat. We shall see.

I'm sorry to hear about your dogs. Man, three in one year, that's really tough.

Isn't she adorable? Her name is Jezebel (we call her Jezzie). She's a sealpoint Balinese. I'm glad I'm not allergic. I love critters too much. She is just the sweetest little thing. I lost my best friend, my dog Chloe, two weeks ago. She was diabetic, blind and deaf. She fell and hurt herself and we decided it was time to let her go. Jezzie has helped to fill the void I felt after Chloe's passing. I also have two birds and another dog.

OMG! I drive through there all the time. We recently bought some land between Canandaigua and Keuka lakes (in Potter). We take 21 and some back roads to get down there. It's a cute little town. We want to build a house down there eventually. Our property is atop a hill and we have an awesome view. We went down there last Wednesday. I went to Penn Yan to get a new kitten.

Sounds like your doc is a gem and knows the drill. My doc was pretty good too. I hear some horror stories from others about their doctors. I got the idea to do this from a good friend of mine. When she told me 2 years ago she was going to do it, I thought she was crazy. Now look who's crazy! So where abouts do you live? I live in Webster.
