Laura how is your back. Don't you go hurting yourself now. Rest and take it easy.

Woohoo! I'm glad it worked out all right! It's LOTS of cutting, isn't it?!

I made a blanket this weekend and it is just adorable. Thanks for the help. I now have 4 different family members requesting them.

Absolutely! The blankets are very easy, just time consuming. You need to pick out two pieces of fleece that you like and then buy however much of each you want for your blanket size. I got 2 yards of each. That would make the blanket 60" by 72"...a great size in my opinion. For a baby blanket you could get less. Lay your two pieces of fleece out on top of each other. Trim them so they are just about the same size. Leave them laying on top of each other and cut strips about 4-5 inches long, about 1 inch wide all the way around. Once the strips are cut, tie each strip in a knot...top strip with the bottom strip. Just cut and tie. That's all. Cutting and tying the corners are a little tricky, but you just have to cut them at an angle. I do one edge at a time. I cut the whole first side, and then tie the whole first side. Then cut the second side and tie the second side...same thing with the third and fourth. It takes some practice but it really is easy once you catch on. If you mess up, just cut off a strip to fix it and then keep going. My first one was a mess when I was making it, but once I completed it, it looks perfect!

That blanket you made for Julie was really cute. Could you give me some instruction on how to make one. I would love to make a few for friends and family. Oh we should totally make one for Jeanie and send a basket with a few gifts and blanket for baby.
