    Hi Nancy,

Things are going good! I am 3weeks out today and down 20lbs! Yeah... Work is ok. I don't have a physically demanding job, so it's fine. I am tired at the end of the day towards bedtime, but not during the day. I would say that my energy level has increased from pre-op. But I can still tell that I am still recovering. Food intake is going ok. I try to get approx 80 grams/ day. I have 85% accuracy. Some days I slack and only get like 50 grams in. But most days I get it all. I really try to make sure that i stay hydrated. Temptations have been the hardest for me. I'll take a little nibble here and there! What about you? How is everything, from food, fluids, weight loss, etc? Are you working yet?

Nancy, I had my surgery 9/2/08. Today is the end of the second week. I am eating a combo of things between week 2 (which is soups), and week 3 (puree foods). My eyes are much bigger than my stomach! I eat 2-3 times a day, and drink about 60gm of protein in my shakes in between. Are you only eating 3 tablespoons of food? I am eating about 4oz of food at each time. It definately only takes me 10-15min to get it all down! I can also drink fluid really well also! Thank God.

    I don't have a scale here! But at my 1st week follow-up I was down 12lbs.

I started freaking out when I started to get hungry! It was weird.... Are you getting in all of your protein and vitamins? How long before you can convert to a regular diet? Did your doctor tell you not to eat bread, rice?

    Where do you live?

I know what you mean about wanting things you shouldnt have. Its really hard. I am just on my 2nd stage lets see thats my 3rd week. I had my surgery on 8-29-08. i am down to 216.8 I weigh myself twice a day once n the morning and in the evening. my doctor told me it should take me 45 mins to eat 3 tablespoons of food. But it doesnt ever take me that long to eat it. most of the time it takes 20 mins. today i had eggs it was ok. i think I ate it too fast because my ltlle pouch said what the hell. so i know i have to put less in my stomach. but its hard. i eat 3 times a day. do you eat anything in between. How are you doing. I think we are just a couple of days apart.Well i need to go clean house. I try to keep myself busy.

Nancy, its' a big adjustment! My biggest problem is self control. Because my dr. told me that I could progress my diet as tolerated, I've been trying things that I shouldn't have. Because it's hard for me to see my husband and son eat things that I can't have. . When I eat something that I shouldn't have it will make me nauseated and weak. So I will stop and lay down. I just want to fast forward 3 months from now so that I can have a better idea of what I can eat and what not.

How is it going for you? When did you have surgery?
