Hey Ms. Readytobehealthy. Sorry for the late reply. Went back to work after 3 weeks postop and I haven't had the chance to go on here much. The surgery couldn't have gone better for me. The first couple days were a bit rough as you will feel gas pains, which I can only describe as pressure around your chest area. Walking will help you relieve alot of the gas pains. But I wouldn't say it was "painful"... just uncomfortable. They give you lots of pain meds if you do start feeling any type of pain.

I didn't have to go on a 6 month diet, but I know some insurance requires that. When I first was going to go through this process, blue shield required me to do the 6 month. Then I switched jobs and had United Healthcare which didn't need for me to do that at all. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck with your journey!
