Hi, thanks for adding me as a friend. I am in the process of completing my 6 months and should have sugery at the end of July or beginning of August. I am having the RNY. Have you already had your surgery? If so, which surgery did you have and how are you doing with everything. Talk to you later.

I completed the 6 mos and then they could pretty much submit to insurance right away, since I had all the other testing done (sleep study, psych eval, pulmonologist, etc). Once they submitted, I had an answer the same day! I actually called they insurance co. to see what else was needed and they were like "oh its approved already". I was shocked! I called the surgeon's office and they wouldn't schedule anything further until they had the letter of confirmation from the Insurance, which took them about a week to get. THey said that usually they can schedule the surgery within 3 weeks of insur. approval, but mine was further out b/c of the holidays in April (Easter/Passover).
I am so excited but all of a sudden I am also like terrified!!!!
I keep going on here to focus on all the success stories and good stuff

I've had my surgery already. It was Feb 9th 2009. The weight loss is def. slower then i expected. I've lost 35lbs after the surgery-- 54lbs altogether. I read ur profile and it seems that ur surgery date may be after May 09'. Please keep in contact would love to see ur progress.

That is so cool that you are from Orlando,,,I moved from Sanford FL about 16 years ago. I have 1 more month to go before I can submit for approval. April 17th to be exact. All my other appointments are done and just waiting to finish my 6 month diet with PCP. You are so lucky to have had your process go so quickly. Do you have any idea when you will be having surgery?
