I am getting pretty motivated and am thinking about doing medifast. I did it a few years ago and lost 115 pounds in 6 months. The problems was I didn't keep off the weight (I'm sure you hear me here). So if I could do medifast for 6-12 months prior to surgery I could possibly lose 100-200 pounds and would only have about 100-150 more to go. I think I may do it...as I am ready.
I am lucky in my work place in that I am the favorite of the employees and I am as far as I can go. The bad thing is the rest of the employees exclude me from things and I was telling DH that I think it is both due to my weight and the my position within the company. Whatever! Right?! All that matters is that I am happy and healthy!

I hear ya girl! I am in total isolation. I don't go anywhere for fear I won't fit in the chair. I also don't go because I feel like I don't fit in and everyone stares at me. I hate it! I'm so ready for a change. DH and I got in a argument tonight about weight.... UGGHHH!!! I want to be healthy. I think I may just start my own program now... that is how fed up I am. I don't want to wait to have the surgery I need to do something now!

All I gotta say is "YOU GO GIRL". Yes, you will be a pro so you can teach me the ins and outs and such. I'm scared but excited at the same time. I'm so ready to have positive change in my life. I, like you, have been overweight my whole life so to be a "normal size" is something new to me but something I look forward too. I'm sure you are looking fab and congrats to getting to almost the 270's already!

Sounds good. I was reading the July Staplers messages and was very helpful in knowing what to expect once I get into it. Definitely not easy but I think the further from the surgery day the easier it gets (so it sounds). I am going to take in everyone's ideas and suggestions and try it to see what fits for me. I wish the surgery was today for me as I'm ready but it look like I have about a year to wait! BLAH! You will probably be at your goal when I'm having surgery. Imagine that! Keep up the good work and positive attitude!

I commend you for being totally honest about your journey. I know it is going to be a struggle but I'm prepared to face that battle. I know the tool (surgery) is a great tool and I will remember it is just a tool that I will have to do all of the footwork (exercise, healthy, healthy mind). Thank you for sharing!
