Oh yes! Infact, Since I went to see my surgeon for the first time.. I have resisted from buying any clothes or shoes or boots or anything like that. Which is soo hard for me cause I love shopping and fashion and trends. But Yeah it would be a waste of money cause the weight drops so fast.
I know its going to be worth the wait though
Oh wow, yeah that happened to me along time ago too when i lost 70 lbs.. I lost it in about 3 months. Every week I lost 10 pounds and everyone said it wasnt normal. It was the same idea except this isa lifelong comittment and the injections can help but once youre off them youre blow back up like a ballon.
I told my doctor I wanted to loose about 50-70 lbs with this surgery because I didnt want to seem too unrealistic as far as my goals go but I know I could probbaly 100 pounds or more so i may change my goal weight because the before and after pictures on here of people are amazing!

    well...
    thank you
    thank you
    thank you....
it took about 6 months from start to finish for me to be approved by my ins co.
but it was so worth the wait.
I had the bypass. i originally went in for the lap band but after i thought about it...having all that plastic inside forever....i decided the bypass was right for me....and my surgeon agreed. i did lose i guess alittle faster than normal, which my doc is watching me closely for. on average i believe that bypass patients lose weight for approx one full year. and if i keep losing rapidly, he wants to up my food intake during the day to try to maintain at my goal weight....whenever i do goet there. its been quite a ride already...lol
oh...alittle piece of advice....as you are losing the wieght....do not buy too much new clothes....its so tempting..i know.....but i have spent thousands of dollars on clothes that no longer fit me......lol

Oh yes she was! She looked like a princess!
Wow congradulations! Youre loosing alot and quick. And you look stunning yourself!
Well I dont have a date yet but my surgeon wants to do it within 2-3 months after my 2nd visit. She told me 2-3 months because thats how long my insurance takes to approve me for the surgery.
    I So cannot wait!
I Know!... I going to probbaly be one of the positive ones like you who are happy with the surgery. Depression? lol yeah right!
I've been heavy my whole life but about 5 or 6 years ago I love 70 lbs with injections from a private dietrician / nutritionist. It worked and I loved how I looked and how healthy I was and able to do things alot better without getting out of breath. But as soon as I stopped taking the injections the weight came right back! And years have went by and I have decided to undergo gastric bypass surgery.
Did you have the gastric bypass or the lap band done?
