It's getting hot, we've been over 100 for the past week or so. Luckily I have a pool and air conditioning, or I think I'd go mad. So baked yet? No, but I'm pre-heating. Come mid July, I'm ready to be basted.
You are doing so great, aren't you? I'm totally impressed and so happy for you! But I knew you'd do well, you struck me as someone who gets it. Chicken is your best friend if you can tolerate it, but don't eat it dry, OMG, you will get the foamies something fierce. It's really the worst feeling. I eat a lot of shrimp, fish, scallops and crab. All big sources of protein and so many different ways to eat them so you don't get bored. I eat red meat once a week or so, usually rare cuts of steak like filets or tenderloins. Expensive, but hey, we're worth it.
Haven't used a fork in a month..lol. Michelle needs to learn how to eat like a big girl!
Well, it's great that you're with someone who's been through this, he will certainly understand where you're coming from and I don't see how you wouldn't be an inspiration to him. Seeing you lose is gonna be a kick in the pants for him, no doubt, as if the thought of having to deal with Diabetes isn't enough. Michelle, you're doing great, keep at it!
haaa Michelle ok see you do have a "mariah" connection! thats cute lovely new pictures finally goood Lord i was gonna have to send a photographer to find you thanks for the compliment too
lol..I couldn't walk without holding the bars either. I guess we're both nerds. I shold get some tape and cover the bridge of my glasses to complete the look. For some reason, when I let go, the belt didn't move as fast and I'm halfway thrown off the thing. It took some getting used to jogging, it's not something I just did. It took a few quick runs here and there to get used to the machine. I feel comfortable much more comfortable now and can get right to it. Oh, how I remember the humidity. I grew up in Pittsburgh and lived in Virginia for several years before coming out here. I used to have a girlfriend who lived in Hammonton and I remember how nice it was it there during May when we'd visit her home.
But yeah, walking is nice, but jogging is just adrenalin pumping!
Michelle, wow! That is one amazing change and in such a short time? You look simply marvelous! And I love the glasses. So chic.
I'm doing great, thanks for asking. It's been cold, (if mid 70's could be considered cold), and rainy the past few days, so it's been liveable. I'm jogging now, hard to believe I've reached that point, but I'm up to four miles at a 9 min/mile pace and not breathing hard, and I know I could go further, but I want to pace it out over time. Unbelievable what this surgery has done for me, and I can't wait to hear your excitement when you get this far out.
KILL ME PLEASE..lol. The eating part hasn't gotten any more enjoyable for me. I really have no desire to eat and have to constantly remind myself that I need to. It is so hot here, I feel so sluggish and tired. I drink a lot of sweet Tea just to stay awake during work (I work from home) Supposedly, we are going to see a big weather change here tomorrow or the next day. Keep up the good work, you should easily drop another 15-20 pounds by your next appointment.
Yes, wound has healed, now I'm sunburned...lol. I can't win. You sound like you're doing great! 60 minutes of cardio is impressive at two weeks out. Why no mashed? I find it interesting how food plans differ so much from surgeon to surgeon.
