hey there. Just thought I'd ck in with you and see how it is going. I am down 90 lbs now, would be more but have fallen a bit off the wagon and still not getting in exercise. I have spent the past two weeks in S. California and walked all over Disney Land and Sea World so now know I can go home and walk without any issues. Still hoping I can make it to at least 110 by Christmas! Or our surgery anniversary! When I see the doctor in Dec. will find out when I get this huge hernia fixed. Because it makes my tummy poke out so far, I don't really feel like I have lost the weight.

Hope all is well with you.

    Hi Lou Ann:
Back from vacation. With all the walking I lost another 5 pounds. So now I have gotten rid of 64 lbs forever. Had to go and buy new pants yesterday. Mine were so baggy at Disneyland that I knew it was time. Dropped another two pant sizes. Still have the tummy, though it seems to be getting smaller.
Hope all is well with you.

    Hi
I am doing good, 59 as of last Monday. Wish I was in a 14, but I started out about 50 lbs higher than you. When I get to a 14 you will hear some screaming all the way from Oregon to WV. I have lost 3 sizes and getting ready to move down another. Still have an issue with the swelling in my tummy.
Going on vacation on Thursday and when I get back hope to get into a walking routine. So far I really haven't done any exercise, but it is mowing season so doing the lawn mowing and tilled the garden this past weekend, does that count.
I am still not really eating meat. I do ok with deli meats, so do a sandwich with that. Think I am getting to many carbs, need to start writing down what all I eat. But I am happy with what I have lost so far. Just want more off for summer and for a wedding I am going to in the fall. Would love to have a 100 off by the end of Sept and it is entirely do-able, just got to get busy with the exercise.
Glad to hear you are doing so well.

    Hi Lou Ann:
I should be released to go back to work on the 2nd of March.
Feeling much better, but got a nasty cold about two weeks ago and just knocked me on my butt! Starting to get over it, but really knocked my energy levels back down.
I saw the Dr. on the 9th and have lost 48 lbs so far. Still probably not getting in all the protein I need. I can't tolerate most meats, but have been doing some cooking with ground turkey and that seems to be ok. Has gotten much easier to get the liquids down, so getting closer to getting in what I need per day.
I need to start exercising, still get tired really easily. But my wound is down to only being the size of an egg now, so that is good. I will have some nasty scars from this, but nothing I can do about it.
Sounds like you are doing well, keep it up. Won't it be nice to be so much thinner for the summer? Maybe I will buy some shorts!
    keep in touch.

Hi Lou Ann: I am doing better. Starting to get some energy back and one of my wounds is almost healed and the other is about half the size it was. Still not getting in enough liquids or protein and maybe that is why I haven't lost weight in the past two weeks. Pretty discouraging as I am eating less than 800 calories a day. I see the Dr. again on Monday, so will get an idea of when I am going back to work.

How are you doing? I am down 45 and stuck, how much have you lost now? Are you feeling 100% now?

take care and keep in touch.

Well, this is my first blogging experience, but here goes.

I started on this journey in September when I went to the Bariatric Program Information Session in Winchester, VA.

Looking back, I wasn't really over weight when I was younger, I just always felt that I was. Two years ago when I reached 250 I decided that I was tired of my boobs sitting on my stomach, chocking me, when I was sitting. I joined Weight Watchers and over the next year I lost 46 lbs!
