Well, quite the whirlwind week of vacation. Walked a ton, didn't lose any weight, fit on all the rides, relaxed...and then...back to work. Like hitting a wall at 100mph. Had worked assigned to me even though people knew I was out. So, busy as all get out the first 3 days back doing two jobs. I need another vacation...

And, I'm actually taking one! My Navy son is graduating from his Helicopter Aircrew School in mid-August, so back to San Diego for another 4 days. Love going there, he's on Coronada Island and the hotel is on the base and right on the beach. And best part, it's cheap.

Yes, it was kind of neat how it worked out. It was totally by accident really. When I called for my postop check for my gallbladder they wanted to schedule me 10 min before Sharon's appointment. Since I was going to be with Sharon anyway, for her appointment I told them just to schedule us together. *G* I think Dr Baker was rather humored with the whole thing. He was mighty light-hearted and social, which isn't his norm. Well, relax and enjoy your vacation, my friend. I don't have one coming for another month but I think I'll be ready too. I agreed to run our Burn Clinic full time for the 2 weeks before our vacation. OUCH! I've only ever run it once...that's ONE DAY not 10!!!!! Our summer outpatient burn clinics are insane...so I hope I make it through it ok. *L* Sheesh..don't know what got into my head.

I read the thread where you talked about meeting Sharon and the joint appointment. What a neat way to meet! And yes, David need vacation, real bad.

Oh...and did you know that Sharon DeRossett and I got to meet up? We actually had a joint appointment together! She really is a sweet lady.

I've been emailing the Practice Manager lately. Sent her a big long list of suggested changes. *L* I've even come up with a job description for me...haven't sent that though.

I'm doing okay. I started vacation today, but we are leaving for California on Sunday, so I had to get all my work finished with my job and make all the arrangements for the trip. My wife works most of the day, so I get to do everything and it got a bit hectic. That being said, everything is pretty much done and I'm ready to start packing and go. I really need the break. But other than that, I'm fine, still losing, no problems, no new addictions, happy as can be.

Wow, can't wait to hear what transpires. Seems like just yesterday we were talking about this and it didn't sound promising. I really hope it's something positive for you. I will be out next week, but please, keep me posted. I will have my laptop with me and will check in from time to time.

Hello there my friend. Haven't seen you posting for awhile. I looked around for you this past weekend but you were no where to be found. I hope things are going well for you. Kinda worry about you when you are absent for awhile. I'm doing great, feeling great and I'm even getting a few minor rumblings from my surgeon's office manager about including me in on some major changes after the first of the year. Not sure what is up their sleeve. They are still kinda hush, hush about some things but I got an email from her and she wants to sit down and talk to me in January. They are moving then and getting out from the medical organization that they are under now. They are going independent so that they can run things like they want to, not like the organization wants. So we shall see what happens. My name has obviously been floating around the office a bit.
