Citracal is a brand of calcium citrate that is easy to find in stores. It's not chewable though, and you might want something chewable in the beginning. But I am told you can dissolve the Citracal in a few ounces of liquid and drink it. It's hard to find chewable calcium citrate in stores. He might have to go to a health food store to look for it if you want that.
The brand of protein that I like is Chike. You have to order it online, I don't think they sell it in stores. But any health food store would have a number of brands to choose from. Just tell him to make sure he gets whey isolate.
Linda, Osteocare is calcium carbonate. I don't think it said on the label. I couldn't find it on their website, either. I had to google it. But it's carbonate. Don't hesitate to ask questions or ask for help. I'm happy to help and I know other people here on TT are also.
