Consult went amazing!!! I really really loved the surgeon...his name is Dr Kaila at Bluewater Surgical in Sarnia, Ontario...OMG he's amazing! I really felt comfortable with him, and that is the most important thing ever. I'm looking at having a thigh lift and a breast lift. But it's SUPER EXPENSIVE!!! I'm hoping for some sort of coverage from OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Provider)...KEEP UR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME!!!

OMG Great to hear!!! I'm so proud of you! This is just the beginning my dear...this is going to be one amazing and interesting journey! Trust me on that! So, how much have you lost since surgery?
I'm so happy that you have been comfortable and in no pain! That's the surprising part of this surgery, it's not as painful as most think.
I'm going tomorrow for a consultation with a plastic surgeon, I really hope it goes well!

I live in rural PA, and have never heard of Smoothie king. We don't have any smoothie places around here.
Are you hot everyday down there? We have had rain yesterday and today is overcast. I want to go walking today, but hubby works until 9pm and my 6 year old son doesn't like to stop riding his bike and hanging with his buddy.
I am having a hard time with protein as of late. (water too for that matter). I just have absolutely NO appetite. I try to eat and I just can't. I know that I have to keep tyring. My NUT says if you don't try the solid foods, then your pouch will never get used to eating solids and you will be on liquids forever. UGG, I knew this was going to be hard, but I never thought in a million years that my appetite would be GONE! LOL
I Know what you mean about clothes fitting the same way. I expected that after 27 lbs, things would be falling off me!!

I am not sure about docs. My doc developed this program with the NUT. And she told me that realistically our bodies cannot absorb large amounts of protein. And since our appetites are so small, we should start small with the amounts of protein.
I bought frigo brand string cheese. I tried the light and it is too hard, but the regular is soft and tastes better. Each one has 70 cal. and 7g of protein, so it is a great snack.
I had cereal for breakfast this morning. YUM I can't believe how much I enjoyed it. I used to eat 2-3 bowls of cereal on weekend mornings. I ate
1/2 c ceral with 1/2 c skim milk and 1/8 c applesauce and I was full. It is amazing how this surgery takes away your appetite.
All of the money I am saving on eating out, I am spending on special food for me! This is crazy, I can't wait to be able to eat "normally" whatever that may be.

Ha Ha. LOL. I am now "officially" allowed cheese. Today my Doc. told me my next goal for protein is 40-50g by 6weeks (next appt). Since I started with him I have lost 27 lbs (12.5 after surgery)
That orange drink sounds good. Have you tried it yet????? I'll send you the meatball one soon, I have actually been busy.
I am soooo excited, my doc said that I could have fresh strawberries on this stage of my diet. YAY, I have been wanting them.
He also told me that sometimes processed foods react badly with our pouches. I told him that some things make me gag, and he told me that might be why. He told me to try to stay with fresh items and cook them ect. I have spent so much money buying my "special" food and then "regular" food for the rest of the family, how bout you?

Just a thought about the BP. Mine was high during both pregnancies, and then perm after my second child.
I am allowed cheese on my next stage. I LOVE cheese. And there is lots of protein. So, you cheated a bit (haha, I have too I have already had a little cheese YUMMY). I have good days and bad days with protein. Most days I get between 30-40g. My NUT told me that the first 2 weeks if I get 20-30g she would be happy, so I guess I am good for now. My next step is to be
40-50g. Yesterday was a rough day eating, everything made me feel sick. I only got 20.5g of protein. This is really tough, it is definitely NOT an easy way out. But I know that the results will be worth it. This is the first thing that I have done that has made me forget about food (I sometimes forget to eat LOL) and allowed me to lose 1lb a day!!!!! It is AMAZING!
Gotta go make my son breakfast.
    HUGS TTYL
