It was GREAT meeting you and your children today!! I have lost 34 pounds so far. I'm happy with that! Dr. Bruce told me to keep doing what I'm doing but that I may now eat regular foods, and to concentrate on meats, fish, eggs to keep protein up. She told me to try to go for things that have fluids in them to help bring up fluid consumption, and that I'm doing 'fantastic.' It felt good to finally hear that for a change. She told me to expect the weight loss to slow down. She also asked me if I was ever hungry...which I'm not.

Wow, 70 pounds is crazy--but, if you're healthy and not cutting corners too drastically, perhaps you're just designed to lose quickly! You looked like you are so happy and fit!

Thanks so much also for the protein mixes as well--so very thoughtful of you, Kim. I look forward to keeping in touch and seeing you make it to the end!! --Beth

Lol, thanks. I have one of those clear glass scales and I actually took a red sharpie and drew a devil on it. Anyone that comes into our house and sees it will think a lunatic lives here. Only WLS folks would get it. And I am right there with you at getting under 200! Been stuck at 209 for almost 2 weeks now but that tends to happen to me, I will lose nothing for a week or two and then all of sudden I am down 5-7lbs. Weird!

OMG u go w/ your bad self...5 days a week im jealous you should be training me...lol Umm yeah Umm 3 months out I would guesstimate betw 600-900 atmost. But geeez 70lbs in 3 months its safe to say eat however many calories you want..Thats unheard of. I lost by 3 months 32 whopping lbs. But yeah I think youre doing everything right just keep it up towards your 1 yr mark and you should be good. Take care

Hey Kim! I'm doing okay...getting ready to start soft foods today...thinking of making the tuna patties that are on this website. I made them pre-op and they were great. I have been having problems getting the fluids and protein in the last couple of days since being back in the office but, will keep trying. Just going with water today to see how I do--no CL or anything to see if I can take in more here at work.

I am almost 3 months out from bypass. I am wondering if any one could help me with around how many calories I should be eating/drinking?Also I am not ever really hungry so I am still getting most of my protien from shakes. Is that acceptable at 3 months out? I want to make sure I am doing the best for myself that I can.I take all my supplements and exercise daily. Any information on the calorie intake would be grate!
