Yep...mental issues suck! Totally understand all too well. Not sure how far out you are...but it definitely gets somewhat harder. At least that's been my experience. As your pouch can tolerate more...you try different things.

If you're not eating much (or very little) your body will hold onto everything you give it! So as a suggestion...EAT...but make it good proteins, not crap. But for some reason those "crap foods" are what goes down well. Argh! I think this week I'm not going to lose anything...if that happens I'm gonna up to up the ante (i.e. excercise more and eat better).

Sure hope this forum does help you! It's scary knowing that weight is always going to be an issue in some form or another, even with the surgery. It's only a tool and it's up to us to do with it what we chose.

If you ever need a sounding board, feel free to use my ears!

I'm glad to hear that you are still losing. My friend's name is Amy that has the same surgeon as you.
I am not doing too good. I've been stuck for 2 months now, and I have even put on 5 lbs. I don't think I'm doing anything different. I know that I need to work out more, but I'm not eating a lot at all. I also have a lot of mental issues to deal with and I can't turn to food. I am hoping that by being on this forum I can find some advice to get me back on track. Congrats to you!!!

Thanks for the compliment! I can always use those...

To answer your questions: I am still losing 2 lbs per week...though I can tell it's slowing down some. I haven't had any stalls yet...but I'm sure they're coming...dang! I'm feeling really good. I have had only a few episodes of vomiting/sliming, but in general don't have any issues eating. I was actually able to eat an omelet the other day...since 5 weeks out my pouch decided it did not want any eggs! Now the pouch has decided that they're okay. Go figure! I have about 40 lbs to lose also...I think it's gonna get a little tougher now.

So...when did you have surgery? And how are YOU doing? By the way...who's your friend? If you don't want to answer that's okay too...but I know a few people from Yuba City that had Dr. Machado as their surgeon. One's name is Brook and her friend Jaime.

Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing!

    Cathy

Hi. I talked to you awhile ago. You have the same doctor that my friend did. You look great! How do you feel? Are you still losing on a consistant basis? I have been stuck for 2 months now. I only have 40 lbs to go, but it's frustrating that I'm at a stand still. Well I just wanted to say hi. You were one of the few that I remember when I was on the site a lot. Talk to you later.
