Hey Jules. you know what i kinda miss the good fatty food sometimes too, But you know the funny thing? while i was at home on leave @ my surgery for 4 week i watched the cooking channel on cable. i loved it. and i also love watching people eat. enjoy a good meal. if i cant someday else has to right. and that doesnt bother me a bit. i do miss the big juicy burger though. they said i shouldnt eat beef for 1yr. did they tell you that too? I think the last 35lbs is going to be the hardest. when did you have your surgery again? i had mine 4 and a half month ago. my problem before surgery wasnt over eating. so i am ok with just the little bit of food i eat. i do like to snack though. thats the bad thing. what do you eat for snacks? please let me know. take care jules you look great. Julie

    HI Jules,
I had my surgery June 30 one month before you. i was in the or for 1.5 hours, not to bad. Had a rough time 1st 3weeks also. I had a artery in my abdomin puntured. so there was some bleeding also a infx. i was on clear liquids for 4wks. My start weight was before surgery approval was 224. date of surgery was 218. didnt have to lose that much. 4.5 months later i have dropped 58 pounds. and i am slowing. i have 35 more to go to my goal weight.
I think i am losing my inches right now than pounds. But that is okay. i havent weighed this weight since i was in 10th grade. and i am now 44yrs old thats a happy thought. i still experience nausea. do you? i wait to hear from you. happy wednesday. Julie

    Hey Rachal,
How is recovery going for you now? I know its tough at first, but it DOES get better! Now down 64 lbs and just over the half way point. Doing 3.5 miles a day on the treadmill at home and walking during my lunch time at work. My entire family was against the surgery, but now they cant believe how good I am looking already, its a good feeling!

Well, tommorrow I go back to work! Thought I would start on a friday and then have the weekend to recover, lol. I have lost 46 pounds so far and my dizziness has pretty much disappeared. Eating blenderized foods and still on protein drinks. Unfortunately I had my first episode of everything coming back up last night, so taking nothing but liquids today to let things settle down. Other than that, all is well, doctor says I am progressing very well. Here's a kicker, last week my hospital announced it will no longer to bariatric weight loss surgeries and their closing the office in October. Unbelievable! They saw there is too much competition for patients in the Seattle area, and not enough insurance companies covering the procedure. So all my post surgical care is now in question. How are u doing in preparation for your big day next week?
