Hi Janelle, Sorry it's taken so long to reply I'm 6 weeks out now and I've lost 34lbs. to date. At my 3 week check up I was already eating my 8 week plan. I haven't gotten sick at all. My biggest problem would be getting in the protein. I hate all the drinks, bars, powders. I can't beleive I'm not craving sweets??? I crave something crunchy alot. I'm riding a excersise bike 3 miles a day and walking. But I think I need to kick that up a notch because I don't think I'm losing as fast as I should be. All my clothes are defintley looser but I thought stuff would be falling oof me by now. I don't go back to the Dr. until 3 months and then a year! Are you more closely monitored? Other then that I feel great. My body probably thinks I've never been nicer to it! How are you doing with you protein? How much are you down? I still need to get my picture taken!! Barb

Oh, I'm glad things are going well for you! It is a constant struggle for me to get in water and protein. Every night, I go to bed and tell myself that I have to do better tomorrow. This last week was really bad. I'm just getting sick of water and chicken! I don't feel a real motivation to eat (or drink) since there isn't much pleasure in it anymore. I didn't expect to have that problem! Popsicles have been a saving grace. As a matter of fact, I just finished one! How long were you out of work? Are you back to normal activities now? Does your surgeon have an exercise plan for you? I'm supposed to be walking and working out with dumbbells, but I haven't managed to get my act together enough to really set goals. I'm going to Nashville for some tests this week, so my goal is to get my act together when I return. I had a tremendous loss this week. I don't know what I did differently, but I'll certainly take it! Oh, what's the best protein drink you've tried? Janelle

Hi Janelle, Time is going so fast! My surgery 3/25went great, no complications at all. Loved pushing the morphine button the first day I haven't had any nausea or dumping yet. And don't want it At my 3 week appointment today I'm down 20lbs My biggest challenges are water and protein..just like many I'm sure. I'm already eating non pureed foods and tolerating well. How are you doing? Any challenges? I need to get a picture of me for this site so I don't keep coming up as a ?!! The one thing I can think of that I mis is eating something crunchy. So far the no sweets thing isn't bugging me!!! Shocker Hope to here from you soon.

I HAVE been looking at Miatas!! I can't wait to get to 199, for the car and just to GET there! I shopped for cute shoes today. I hear that even your FEET shrink, so I just got some inexpensive ones. And a cute plaid purse!

If I had to guess, I would say you will be out of commission for several days. Do you have someone who can help you take care of your daughter? I was sore for several days and just plain tired for about 10 days. You are less that a week away now. I could hardly sleep the week before surgery. I was SO excited. I also recommend that you go ahead and get laundry caught up before you go because you won't be able to lift things over 5 pounds post surgery. Oh, other chores, too...vaccuuming, scrubbing the tub, all those things that are hard on your torso. I hope you rest well this week!

WOO HOO way to go! Do you have any pain? Are you hungry? My surgery is next Tuesday the 25th. I've been busy with my daughter who had major knee surgery friday. She has to be on a movement machine 8 hours a day for 8 weeks! Helping her get around and clean up is fulltime. I'm a little nervous how I'm going to be able to help her after my surgery. But it has taken my mind off me and I'm not very nervous about the actual surgery. So what are you doing to occupy your time while your off work? Looking at Miata catalogs

Oh, yes! I've lost 6 pounds so far, but I haven't had a drop in a while, so I'm expecting several pounds to move at once. I had my sister take my measurements, and that is where the true number movement is! I was much more impressed with how much I lost in inches! Best of luck! Your day is tomorrow, isn't it?? Yippee!!
