I am about 2 1/2 weeks out from my lap banding procedure. The eating thing is hard for me too. I was getting SOOOO sick of those damn sweet protein shakes! I was happy to get to eat cottage cheese and refried beans stuff like that. I think Im pushing it a bit already on my choices though which scares me. I just dont want to screw this up! I forget to not drink with a meal too!! Its just a habit we have to get into - and a damn hard one at that!! I also am terrible drinking my water - I want to CHUG when Im thirty - Im horrible about remembering to sip sip sip all damn day!

I had my lap banding procedure done on 04/15/09 so we are pretty close together. I know you are probably not feeling too hot right now but I would love to chat with you sometime and compare notes!

Hi Jamie. You were so right when you said "it will all be worth it in the end." Today is my 3 month anniversary , and if I had to do it all over again, I would in a heart beat. Good luck on Monday, and I look forward to seeing you on the losing side.

Hi, I am two days behind you, in Belgium though. But like you I am struggling with the liquid pre-op diet. But you are right, we need to play by the book to make sure our op goes well. Good luck.

Hi lady! Keep yourself busy! The 1/2 day they tell you to plan on will most likely include a lot of waiting! Take a good book or magazine with you. You are adorable..this is going to be a miracle for you!

Well today marks day 7 since I had my surgery and I must say I am very surprised at how well I feel. I had little to no pain in my incisions. I have 5 small cuts around and inch or less each. There were 2 little wire going inside of me delivering pain medication internally. That was nice because it minimized my pain. They actually took those out before I left the hospital. I did have to go back to the ER the next day after discharge because of dehydration but the did a CT scan and said everything...

I on the other hand feel like I have been in a fight and lost. My muscles are sore. It isnt a sharp pain just a constant...
