So good to hear from you, you've been under the radar for a while now. I''ve been fighting this cold still, it's just by the thread of my teeth the my surgey date still stands, if my cold develops any further they are going to cancel, so I'll know for sure about Wednesday. Pray for me please.

I have been so busy.I have been supervising student teachers.A sometimes great/awful job to do.Not long now.I am going over to your other thread so I can write more.

Hi Vicki, how are you? Long time. Just to update you I now have a new date for my surgery, 30th Nov. I do hope you're alright, and that you're just busy. Do get intouch.

Hi Vicki
If I don't laugh I'd be bound to cry. lol Yeah like you I don't pay much attention to the asthma thing, I mean I don't pander to it. I've had it all my life and try not to let it affect me. I was hospitalised twice in 2004 - asthma attacks, both times, I was a smoker then, needless to say i've given up. What the doctor did say was that he'd give me a call next week - that was last Sunday so I guess he means this week coming. I'm trying to keep my eye on the ball, I will not be defeated. How are you by the way, I'm always looking out for you on here, not seeing you much. Busy? Anyway, as usual I'll keep you up dated. Take care.

Hyacinth-this is so bizarre.I really hope you have an excellent sense of humour to get you through this.Don't get too worried.
Does this mean that in two weeks time that you will be able to have the op if everything is OK?
Just keep in mind the prize ahead. That dratted wheeze.I am an asthmatic in denial.I refuse to give into it.Always have. Hate wheezes.
One thing I have noticed since my op.My chest infections have been infrequent in comparison.
I am so over waiting for your new life to start.I am thinking about my UK holiday and catching up with you.Tell the surgeon that this op has to happen soon so we can shop together in the same stores for the same size!!!

Hi Vicki,
I was sent home after they assess me at the hospital. I had my bed and even unpacked. They said there was wheezing on my chest and some drug thinning meds that i'm taking, I needed to stop taking it at least 2 weeks before surgery. Go figure. Is this meant to be, I begin to wonder myself.

Being admitted at 4pm today. Lets hope all is well with the chest. Thanks people.
