    Hi Hunnybunny,
Glad that your ok, i understand what you mean about the slow weight loss i guess that we are all different and lose at different rates, i have a total of 18lb off since op and 24.5lbs since pre-op diet my loss this week was only 2lbs but hey thats a bag of sugar so i reckon that if we were to lose 2lbs every week till xmas that would be a total of 36lbs 2 stone 8lbs so wouldn't that be fab!!
I also need to start excercise now that my pains are settling i think i will start next week.
Im not able to eat very much but maybe its because anything im eating is not very appealing to me cant wait to eat normal food, think i will make a shepards pie tonight might enjoy that.
Finding it hard to get all my fluid in that is a big struggle.....
Love to you and the family.

hi noonie, great to hear from you.

i'm doing ok, although i find that my weight loss is a lot slower than i was expecting - i'm losing about 2 - 3lbs a week, i though it would have been more than that at the beginning especially. i heard from becky and she seems to be the same as me, how's your weight loss, are you happy with it?

i must admit i have to do some sort of exercise, i walk the dog most days but i think that might not be enough.

i seem to be able to eat fairly big quantities of soft food, for instance i made shepherds pie for everyone today and i had a good breakfast plate size for myself with no problem! But yesterday i had eggs for breakfast and then at lunchtime i tried to have a slice of turkey breast with my lunch and i thought i was going to be sick because it seemed to be stuck halfway down!! i suppose the lesson is to limit my soft food portions and chew my food more.

anyway, let me know how things are going, it's great keeping up to date with you and the other girls.

    Hi Hunnybunny,
Firstly im so sorry i didn't tell you Jo had joined it completely slipped my mind.
Im so glad that things are going relatively well for you.
Im doing fine feel pretty much back to normal except for the pains i get in my left side they are very sharp and stabbing and come and go, i think they are normal but not everyone experiences them my luck hey!!!!
I am also finding it hard to get all my fluid in although i find that i can eat a little bit more now but no where near the amount i used to eat, i had some mince stew and a spud yesterday and it went down a treat my first proper food hmmm.... was a wee bit disapointed that i could not finish it, it tasted so good we have alot of adjusting to do with the old mind!!!!
Ive lost 16 lbs since op and a total of 22.5lbs since i started the pre-op diet so im well happy
    How is your weightloss going?
Love to you and the family
    Great to hear from you.

hi noonie, how are things? i see jo has joined us on the forum, i'm delighted, i've sent her a message so i hope to hear from her.

how have things been going? it's been mixed for me. it's difficult enough getting the liquids in and then not being able to drink after meals. i have also found that i seem to have lost my taste for sweet things (which is great i suppose) - i bought a protein mix so that i could ensure that i kept my protein intake up but the taste is way too sweet for me, i could only manage half of the portion yesterday and i felt quite ill after - i was probably dumping, although the sugar content is not very high in it.

i'm trying to get out walking as much as i can with the dog (she's absolutely delighted needless to say) but i seem to get very tired in the afternoons.

anyway enough about me, let me know how you and the lovely barry and the kids are doing. can't wait to hear from you.

    hunnybunny
