I am just the opposite at my work place. They keep giving me excuses on why I can not get ahead. It use to really bother me and get me down but now I try not to worry about it. I have other things to worry about which is my health. I am not happy at work for the moment but because they just updated or health plan policy to include PS for medical necessity things I am staying at least to get that done. So I will stick it out for at least another 2 years and then I will be where I want to be mentally and physically. At that point I should be able to find any job I want.

I would agree that you should start NOW. It would be so much more easier for you after surgery. I do wish I was out of the 300's when I went into surgery but I was half way out. And that is all that matters. I have been passed up so many positions at work and I truly believe it's because of my size. I do not have true facts about it but I do believe my theory. So I decided not to conentrate on promotions or moving up in the company. I rather concentrate on my health and getting to where I want to be. I'm sorry to hear you and DH were argueing. It's so rough for all angles to please anybody when you are not truly happy with yourself.

Thank you so much for your support. I know with this surgery and me losing so much, my entire mind has changed on what I want in life. I can now see me going to an amusement park or going to a salon to get my hair done. When I was close to 400lbs, I mostly isolated myself because I was too embarassed to go anywhere. YOU will feel much better after the surgery and please feel free to ask me what you like!!

Thanks for all of your support. You will be right there with me too and just to think when you have your surgery I will be considered as a pro. (Now that is funny to me). I am taking one day at a time. I am so close to the 270's I can taste it. Hopefully I will get there by month end.

Did you do some research on your new insurance co? I had to switch medical groups because the one I had was horrible but I got to keep my PCP and hope when we re submit on Dec 1st I get the referral to the surgeon.

You are so welcome. I am 2 months from being 6 months out and at that point I am going to take full body pictures. I hope you will be able to tell a difference. I am almost 97lbs down and I still do not see it. It really takes your mind time to catch up.

I'm feelling really excited by this process. It is odd because I have always been against the surgery (any of it). Last year I was starting to look into it and got busy (and scared) and didn't complete the process. I was looking at it at the advise of my therapist who said I need to give ALL options including surgery a fair shot and at least get the education. This last week something has changed. I woke up one day excited to do this (gastric bypass). I have been saying a lot of prayers to see if...
