A lot of us end up losing our gallbladder...it's just a side effect of weight loss. Mine was inflamed, and basically just shut down...it was working at only 4%. All in all, it wasn't too bad after the first few days.

You could do it either in the Socialize section, or the Member Photo's section.

I've been doing pretty good, other than losing my gallbladder last month. I'm working on losing the last 5 lbs until goal...hope to achieve that by May 29, as that's my 1 year anniversary of surgery. The last year has been a hell of a ride!

Wow what a cool thing that you are from Alaska!! I worked at Alaska Regional Hospital and Dr Todd was originally going to do my surgery..then I moved. I worked in Medical Records right next to his office. How cool is that?!!

Wow, wanted to touch base with you. Thought the thread you started got you some hard words in return. Not sure how I feel about stuff. But this should be a place where anything can be asked I thought it was I guess not. I am suprrised that a group of people who have had such a hard road to travel in life would turn on each other so quickly. I thought your words were your thoughts and should be treated with repects. I am posting here because I am not up to their wrath.

I am feeling really dumb with all this, I thought I had researched it all I did 3 seminars, and a support group, and talked to people who had it, or knew someone who did, and they all told me, that after surgery you won't want food, or to even smell it would make you sick, but I am just the oppisite, I come to you personally because you seem to know alot. I am just wondering am I different, am I not drinking the shakes like I am suppose to? what soups I can eat I don't like, so to me I feel hungry, and I think about food ALL the time, do you get over that or am I doomed?

I never thought that I would be here, where I am now. I never thought that I would ever have control of my life. From early on everything I did was always in vain. I could never be the best, I was always the odd one out, always the biggest...and I had no control over it. Its like mother nature had given all the kids recess except me. I wasn't allowed.

A year ago I would never had imagined being approved for and getting the surgery. I knew about it, I had read a lot about it the previous...
