My two sons in the military keep talking of getting out and going to school, and I keep telling them to just let things fall where they may. It's a nice secure job, they're good at what they do, they can go to school while in, and have a secure job with retirement benefits. I wish my wife and I had stayed with it. We'd of both been retired now with full benefits. Wish I had a do over.

lol..no, wasn't offended by the troublemaker remark..it comes natural to me!

I like San Diego, but it isn't cheap to visit. Be great if I lived there and could afford it, but maybe in another lifetime. My son is going to Florida now for the next 2.5 years, so I have a new place to visit. In fact, I was actually thinking of taking some time off and driving over with him. Any excuse for a vacation.

Sorry for being so late, I'm doing good. That three day weekend came at the right moment. I was stressed! My son came home from San Diego and we had a nice time. Weather was perfect, did some barbecuing and a lot of swimming. And best part, this week is only four days! And I'm a self-confessed football addict, so I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Sounds like things are moving along. I really do hope you get this job. Nothing better than having a safe government job with our poor economy. Just don't give up on your 2nd job of photo editing!

It is wonderful to hear your news. I hope that you will clear the medical. Going away isn't a bad thing. You will go, knowing that you will be returning and have a date to look forward to! You will be so busy with training that it should go by pretty quickly. I am really hoping that everything will work out for you. I am doing great. I began low-carbing a week and a half ago (I have to lose 10% of my excess weight, which is really less than 10 lbs) and my blood sugars have improved dramatically. I am so thrilled! I can really see now that I have to make low-carb eating a way of life. Take care and keep me informed.

...well not really a secret but...I weigh myself EVERYDAY...sometimes 3 times a day!

So this is what I figured out...pre-op I never, I mean NEVER, got on the scale. Why? Because I was afraid...afraid the scale wouldn't read my weight because I was over the limit...afraid to see that 300+ number...afraid of being aware of reality.

Since I never checked my weight before...it was like the problem was not there.

Now, I fell like I must weigh

Today, I got a message from a gb friend and she writes: "you are so gorgous....ever feel like your fat again?? ugh i do"

My response was...I have never stopped feeling fat! I know this topic has been discussed many times on the forum and it has been establish that "it takes a while for the brain to catch up" and that "we didn't have surgery on our brains", etc.

So yea, I feel bad reading that type of comment from other gb friends and

Hey guys,

I'm so tired right now. My thighs & legs are throbbing. I ran & walked 4 miles...I mostly ran or maybe half & half? Well I did it anyway.

I've seen the scale move for the first time in a long time...153.6!! What? It's a trickery I know as soon as I drink water or eat it'll go back up.

I went to get retested for my vision today and like I said my vision is not good uncorrected. I think I'm "legally" blind, 20/200.

First off, an update to my last blog...I was able to run 3 whole miles without stopping to walk. That was amazing.
I haven't been able to run for the past week & a half because I got my toenail pulled. Yeah I have gruesome pics to share but here's just one:
---Disgusting toe picture deleted by ME!---
It hurt when they injected my toe to numb it but after that the pain was minimal and it's really discomfort that you feel. It's getting better and once it' feels 100% I'll be
