    Hi Marie,
I hope everything went well with the surgery. The first week is hard but it does get better. I will be going to the November 10th group at 6pm, I hope to see you there.

Hi, I'm glad you had a good time on your cruise. You really lucked out on the weather, especially for this time of the year. We usually cruise in January. The weather is great then, and the rates are low. I'm having cruise withdrawal right now. I did a European cruise in December, but the next one (Panama Canal) isn't scheduled until January 2010. That's over 2 years, and I'm already going through withdrawal!

Congrats for losing weight on the cruise! That's awesome, especially with all of the tempting food choices there are. I'm rarely a dessert eater at home, but on a cruise I can't resist them. Not to mention to yummy fresh bread, and other good stuff. In a way, I suppose I'm glad my next cruise isn't for awhile, because I think I'd have a hard time dealing with the food right now.

I'm still planning our trip to Disney for January...bought the plane tickets, put a deposit on a townhouse in Terra Verde, and rented a car (although I'm hoping for the rental rate to go down some). I ordered the new 2009 "Unofficial Guide" yesterday, since I'm sure lots has changed since we were there in 2001.

Now, I just have to worry about eating while we're there! I've been looking at the restaurant menus online, but I'm totally overwhelmed. I posted a thread recently about that very subject. I believe you were floating somewhere in the Caribbean when I posted it, lol. If you don't mind looking at the thread, I'd love your opinion on it. Hi Sherry

We just got back from our cruise this past Saturday. With all the hurricanes that have been happening, we actually had a terrific cruise! Calm seas and 85 degrees and sunny everyday! I do access the DIS boards waaay to much. I am addicted to that place.

The best part of the cruise? I went in for my pre-op appointment yesterday, and was afraid to get on the scale. I did, and found I was down a pound from my last weigh-in. Holy cow! I must of done better than I thought with watching my food intake on the cruise.

We are not going to Dinsyey next year. Our next trip will be Nov. 2010. I can't believe the next time I go to Disney, I will be a normal weight! I can't wait to feel the difference.

(I just realized that I posted this on MY page, not yours. Duh! This message is a few days old, but here goes anyway. )

Hi there! I haven't been to WDW since September 2001. We were in Orlando in December 2004 for a week prior to a cruise, but on that trip we did everything except WDW.

I think we'll probably be doing counter service while in the parks...trying to keep this a budget trip. I've found some different menus online, and I need to start making notes as to which counter service restaurants have the healthier choices. I'm sure I'll end up carrying some snacks with me too.

Have fun on your cruise! I hope the weather cooperates for you. I love cruising, and have been on several. We usually go on one every January, but we're skipping it in lieu of WDW for this coming January. Never been on Disney Cruise line though, all of mine have been with Royal Caribbean so far. I think eating on the cruise ship would be a lot easier, when it comes to finding healthier choices. I commend you for losing 3 lbs on a cruise...I always have the opposite problem, lol. I always have a hard time resisting the "bad for me" food. Our next cruise (Panama Canal) isn't until January 2010, but it will be interesting as to how I handle the food choices.

Have you ever rented a condo while in Orlando? I pretty sure we're going to go that route this time...a hotel room gets way too stressful and crowded, even for our small family of 3. Right now, I'm debating on a few offers on townhouses at Terra Verde.

Do you frequent the DIS boards?

Hi DisneyFan! I noticed your screen name because I'm currently planning a trip to WDW for January. I haven't been there for several years. I'm worried about eating though...it's going to be tough finding suitable things to eat in the parks.
