Thats great news-delighted for you.even though when I met you on Monday,I thought you looked really well and slim!
Eating out absoloutely no problem now-if I can,I have a half portion-otherwise I go for a starter and bump it up with some veg/salad.Early on,I had a few instances when it was awkward but only because of the fact that I had only told my 4 close friends.Feel great,buying nice clothes,loadsa energy.loadsa compliments,arthritis improved,reflux gone,urinary frequency gone,backache improved,headhunger still there and have to keep myself in check constantly but SO happy that i did it.Let me know if you want to meet up or talk as I kept a diary and it might be a help nearer the time.have changed my username to siobhain by the way

Hi Catriona-sorry to hear that you are still having health issues-very frustrating when you are hoping to get on with the op.
I am doing fine-slow but steadily coming off-down about four and a half stone and into size 18 Dunnes jeans-bliss!!the hunger seems to have returned that past fortnight so I have to be VERY VIGILANT with myself to make sure that I dont slip back into bad habits.All in all tho I am great and have had an easy trouble free time and have good energy but I HAVE kept all the rules religiously.

The package i went with was for total costs of surgery, hospital stay and drugs. I had to book their advised accomodation and my own transport in total i payed about 8000-8500 not sure of exact total.
Hope that helps, i think the cheapest site at the minute is healthcare international, based in Denmark. Some sites have stopped using Dr Dillemans but are still advertising using his name so be careful not to book with one that isnt using him as he really is the best and has the best cv by far.

Nice to hear from you often wondered if you had had your op!
I got on great in Belgium and would go back in the morning knowing what i know now. Dr Dillemans is a fantastic person so professional, the nursing was quite different but i probably only noticed because im a nurse but to be honest they tried their best and were very pleasant also the hospital was nice and clean, so nothing bad to say.
Im 11 weeks post op i am down 3 st 8.5lbs and almost 4 dress sizes so im feeling on top of the world.
I got my appointment quite quick think there is alot of dates available so i say go for it girl. Glad that all other health issues are now resolved. Any more questions just ask.

I made my first enquiry on the 23rd May and things moved very fast , booking was made on 2nd June pending my deposit, so all together 9-10 days. (There was earlier dates but as my hubby was off work at end of July this suited me better).
Are you thinking of going to Belgium??
