I'm certain your surgeon will advise you as to the best procedue for your situation. The numbers I looked at showed the complication rate as being the same for VSG or Lap-Band. And in terms of recovery, I spent one night in the hospital, was off pain meds in 2 days, and back at work on day 6. Could have worked on Day five, but it was a Monday and I had to have "clearance" from the surgeon to work. This has been a piece of cake really, and I'm lots older than you.

I hope you are recovering well. I have decided to go with the lapband because there seems to be less complications. And it is a quicker recovery. I have four children ranging from 6 to 1. So, I need that. Plus my husband is deployed to Afghanistan right now so I will be having the help of my family. I am just waiting on the doctors office to call with a date. Make sure you take it easy. And congrats! I am so freaking jealous!
