    Hi Megan,

Just give me a little warning on when you will be in my neck of the woods and I will be able to make sure the kids will be somewhere else! Nothing worse then trying to talk of dinner or coffee with the kids butting in!

I feel for you Cindy. 4am and I are not friends...Thank goodness I get to sleep until 6:30am.

I'll have to get my butt to Vitamin Shoppe this weekend and try those protein drinks. I think I just might melt entering a healthy store. (fat girl humor)

We Should meet up when I get down there to see Dr. Suh!! I already went to the info seminar. I dont know whats next after I finish my classes. I'll be down there quite a bit I think though. So dinner or starb's for sure! Thanks for the info! You're always very helpful.

    Hey Megan!!

My Monday was so tiring. I get up at 4am and dang it is hard.

Let me try to remember what Dr. Suhs eating plan was like... If I am remebering correctly, the first week was liquids (water, broth, sf jello, sf popsicles, protein shakes). After your 1 week post op visit he clears you for "soft" foods. Everything that you had the first week is still approved and then you can add refried beans, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese. OMG... the minute I left his office after my 1 week visist we drove through Taco Bell and ordered the pinto beans... 2 bites and I was full and so happy! This is where it gets fuzzier for me... I believe that during weeks 3 and 4 is when I started introducing soft meats like thinly sliced turkey meat from the deli and fish. I know I tried chicken earlier then I was supposed to and it was fine with me except when it would get stuck...that is NOT fun. Must remember to chew the hell out of everything and make sure you take tiny bites even if you think you can handle it. My favorite protein shakes are the ones I still drink today. Thank God I found one I liked early out. They are called Worldwide Pure Protein. They come already made in a can (which is good because I am a busy and lazy woman) and the have 35 grams of protein, 160 calories, 1 gram of fat and 2 carbs. I get them a the Vitamin Shoppe and Banana and Vanilla are my favorite, but they also come in chocolate, strawberry and Oreo flavor.

When are you going to Dr. Suh's seminar? Are you going to the one in Murrieta? If so, we should meet up either before or after for dinner or a Starbucks!!

Hi Cindy! How is your monday going? Mine is going ok...I'm trying to replace 2 meals with protien shakes this week. Needles to say I freakin starving! I would like a good weight loss for my class this friday.

So anyways I wanted to ask you... With Dr. Suh..What did the post op eating plan look like for you? Everyone on here has a different plan. liquids for 2 weeks then mushy for 4..?? Just wondering what Dr. Suh's plan is. And protien shakes....whats your favorite? And what do I look for? Low carb. But how low?

Do you go to the yearly picnic? I think they said its every August.

    Thanks for your help!

Hi!! The 5 Day Pouch Test is basically a post WLS diet to get back to basics, sometimes lose more weight and get control of snacking, etc.

Yep, my surgery was 7 weeks after my last class...but I didn't have Kaiser. I did not have any problems after the surgery. Just the normal soreness, head hunger, tiredness...totally common stuff!

My last class is june 20th. and from what people have said it will probably take 6 weeks after my last class to finally get my surgery. I did go to the semiar, it was very helpful. I am reading all I can and doing all the research. Hopefully I will do well. Did you have any problems post op? you look great! Thank you for chatting with me. I'm new to this.

Hi!! Dr. Suh was AWESOME!! Have you gone to his seminar yet? You will learn a ton there. At the time of my surgery in March 2006 he had done over 2000 procedures...he must be over 2500 or even more now I would think. When are your Kaiser required classes over? That wait is hard, but once it is over you will look back and think it flew by!!
