Thnx Chantal..IM fine..yep 94 lbs when my dr only expected me to lose about 70 is insane. So im verry thankful right about now. Yeah the waiting game is no fun but seriously surgery time comes right before you know it. Then you get scared and ancy (well i did). Sorry about the hubby leaving...look at it this way by the time he gets back he wont even know you..lol Ive always wanted to surprise my man and finally lose the weight but w/ surgery i finally am where i wanna be. I didn't have the band so fill's and that I cannot answer have no idea. It seems like I had an appointment in two to three weeks I believe for the initial appointment. I too was in a rush because my wife was deploying, and it worked out, had the surgery two days before she left. The biggest thing was just trying to get Tricare to approve the referal, they are usually the biggest drag to the process.

Um not confusing at all, ok, my surgery went very fast with Dr Shang. If I remember the dates right I had my intial consult with him on 7 Jul 2008 and had surgery on 17 July 2008 now those results may not be typical, but it shows that it is possible. Dr Shang was outstanding, very skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. I couldn't ask for anymore and would wholeheartedly endorse him to anyone else who was thinking of using him. Good luck, I hope the dates work out for you, so remind me what community do you live in?

Hey im soooo sorry its taken about 5 years for me to respond. Yeppers im an afwifey too..lol unfortunately we got orders a few weeks ago so Ih havent been on here at all..which is sad. Im stil mananging to lose though..im still working out 3-4 days weekly which is good. How have you been? Oh Happy 4th!!!!!!

Since you don't sound as overweight I am the Lap Band should do well for you. I wanted that in the begining but the surgeon's office talked me into GBP. I'll give it a little longer before I will say I wish I did the band. Take care and good luck on the 10 pounds

Well, the surgery went well. I had Lap GBP. It's Hell Week that sucks. There is so much going on that the pain and change of lifestyle gets a little overwhelming. There is a light at the end of the tunnel so I am trying to keep positive.
What surgery are you going with and do you have a date yet?
