Hi Carotgirl, I'm in the pre op stage myself but it should be in June. I'll be having the lapband because I had a heart attack 1 1/2 years ago and will be on aspirin forever and that rules out gastric bypass. I'm disappointed but I know I have to do something because I have a lot of comorbidities to take care of. I'm 58 and no longer have toddlers to run after (at my age thank God!) except when my grandkids come to visit. Good luck. Pat
