Hi! I am preparing for surgery (4/28/09) and live in Bucks Cty also!
I am 36 yo and have been losing/regaining the same 80 lbs or so for the last 15 years! I have multiple weight related medical problems (bmi 41) and it took me a while to finally make the decision to have WLS (despite an MD at Temple telling me it was recommended for me 5 years ago!).
I am having my surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital with Dr Wernsing. Had a few recommendations to go there.
I found a therapist in our area who specializes in making the decision whether or not to have weight loss surgery (WLS) and also specializes in working with people after surgery to address the emotional issues related to all the changes.
Seeing her has been a big help (never had therapy before and was a little reluctant, but so happy with the decision to see her).
