I am typing this in the blind. I don't know why I can't see what I'm typing. 'Anyway, so good to hear from you.
You are doing absolutely wonderful! So taking the weight off is really helping with the hip pain! That's great. When it's time for hip surgery, you'll do just fine! Yes more pics would be great!
I am in my 6th day of pre-op diet preparing for my surgery on the 21st. It hasn't been too bad. I get a little hungry from time to time but all is well.
Well since I can't see what I'm typing, please forgive any typos. will be looking forward to some of those pictures!
Take care my friend and God Bless!
Yeah, I can see what I'm typing. I submitted my reply to you and then went to edit and it took me to a page that I can see what I'm typing! What's up with that?
My one year anniversary is coming up on May 18 and I have just added a new album under my profile pebitpeb, "My Journey". I have photos taken over the past 5 years of my life and if you click on any photo there is a caption attached.
It is hard to believe that only one year ago I was preparring to go into a hospital in Pisa, Italy and receive an operation that would give me a wonderful new life. Getting the surgery had become something that I had given up on when still living in the USA, however when I moved to Italy 2 years ago, it became attainable. Who would have ever thought living in Italy and having gastric bypass, abdominoplasty and getting my hip replaced all in 1year. It really is appropriate though as moving to Italy, new language, new culture, new experiences, new person and a terrific new life.
I give thanks for the support I have received here and look forward to continuing this journey as part of this great TT family.
Bill
Maybe you can help me since we are so close on our surgery date? I am pretty new to this forum and struggling alittle bit.
I am exactly 2 weeks post op. Surgery date 04/14/08 . Still diebetic but I used to take 6 pills now take one. I have lost approx. 30 lbs since surgery date but I am having two problems that I need help with .
1. I cant seem to get on a schedule. With meals, pills/vitamins, liguids, protien. I have also ran out of ideas. Can I get suggestions of other members meal plans at this particular time in surgery. Doctor said I can move on to other foods but to slowly go from puree to..... Some foods I can eat 2oz or so and others I can only eat maybe 1/2Tsp and I am full.No more can go down.Sometimes I just miss the meal. I wonder if this pouch swrinks if I can eat??? Do you have a menu plan I might be able to look at ?
2. Secondly, I cant seem to quench my thirst. My refrigerated is full of all sugar free drinks. It's just not working. I like em one day and hate it the next day. Even my favorite water taste yucky. I was never been a picky drinker or eater. This is so strange for me.
You are wonderful. Thank you for your support. I just posted a thread about keeping fingers and toes crossed, for I am submitting my paperwork today for approval. I know that things happen for a reason and yeah it is heck waiting.
As for you my friend, just one more day. You must be going crazy with excitement, anticipation and anxiousnous. I am all that for you! Everything is going to be great for you and then in just a short period of time, you can get that new "hip" you so desperatly need.
I will be thinking about you and may God's blessings be with you during your journey.
Bill,
Wednesday is the big day and I will be thinking about you and it is with my heart that I know you will be ok through the proceedure.
I am sorry that you are experiencing extra pain at this time due to the hip medication being taken away. This is the first step in getting the pain out of your life once and for all and taking care of the hip.
All continues to go ona forward path here, each day a little better than the day before.
I send you many positive thoughts and it is with much confidence I know that everything is going to go quickly and before you know it this step will be completed. You have done such a wonderful job in preparring for theis moment.
All the best to you Bill.
I look forward to hearing how you are doing afterward.
