I actually came back to work in the office today--but, will probably go home. It isn't because of pain or anything, but because my hormones or something are out of whack--I'm teary eyed for no reason at all! I can't be making decisions and being assertive on project details when I'm already sobbing at the sight of a co-worker! LOL, too funny. I'm going to work--but, will just have to do it from home for this week.

Thanks Beth - 40 pounds is great. I guess I am in a little bit of a funk right now with this head cold. I couldn't do the broth either. I went to HEB and picked up some of their soups (they tend to have more of a selection than Walmart) and drank the broth from those. I like the Unjury chocolate too. I have a huge container of GNC's Isopure Vanilla and could stomach it before the surgery and now it is taking up space in my pantry! Shame because it wasn't cheap! Let me know how your appt goes tomorrow! How long did you take off of work? Again - thanks for the congrats. :O)

40 pounds in 2 months is awesome!! when you think of the best of circumstances being 100lbs in six months (hoping everyone who does it is doing their vitamins, protein, etc.), then you are ahead of the game. What we do have now is time to do it right this time As for me, I'm in the second day of chocolate unjury with LF milk and I can deal with it. I do drink crystal light most of the time - a bit watered down is working great, and I have 1/4 cup of jello and last night I was in heaven when I drained the broth off a can of soup and warmed it. Had so much more flavor than the broth alone does! I do hope Dr. Bruce will let me go to full liquids/pureed tomorrow, but won't get my hopes up yet about it! Wow, down 40! I am so happy for you, Julie!

HI Beth! Clear liquids - how fun? How are you handling it? :O) Hopefully, you will be off of it after you see your doc tomorrow. I was on clear liquids for two weeks because my doc was out of of the office!! Now that was brutal. Did you happen to get any unflavored unjury? I tend to put a scoop of that in a big shaker/blender ball bottle with some crystal light. It might help you get more protein in if you are worried about that. My doc wasn't so much concerned with getting all the protein in so early out - just healing. I'm doing okay - caught a cold from my kids. I am down about 40 pounds in 2 months. Wish it was more but when I talked to my doctor about it he said that was great and reminded me that I didn't want to lose everything the first couple months.

I'm still on clear liquids with one protein drink/day. I can't seem to get the protein right though...nothing is tolerable so far! I see Dr. Bruce on Wednesday so hopefully it'll be cool and I can move on to something that will allow me to use food for protein mushies How's it going for you?

Glad things are going well for you! What sort of pre-op diet did they put you on? Before you know it - the 27th will be here! Oh, I had a EKG and other things done pre-op at Williamson - you will like it there. The staff is wonderful in all depts.

Hi Julie! I went yesterday and all is going pretty well. I have to go have an ECG on Monday at Williamson because my EKG was abnormal (machine glitch), and for some reason out of our control my surgery date was moved to the 27th. But, all is final, and all of my release forms are signed and I begin the pre-surgery diet this morning. How are you doing?
