Thats AWESOME that you have had such a short journey!!! Actually, I'm a bit jealous! I started everything late Oct.-early Nov. I attended a seminar here in Louisville early November, and had my intake appointment (psyc., dietician, pa, labwork) mid November. From there i was positive gastric bypass was what i wanted/ needed. At first we were told insurance was not going to cover it. Then the surgery group I'm going through got a Letter of Support from my OB and 2 years of my medical history. MY OB is the one who told suggested I have WLS. With my PCOS getting so bad, she said it was that or a hysterectomy (which she knows is NOT AN OPTION for me!) I want kids too badly! My mom has finally started doing a couple hours of research after begging her to for 2 months, and is now scared! SO she's trying to stall i believe, which is even more frustrating! I'm SO TIRED of waiting though!!! I can't wait to start a "better life!" I wish you the best of luck! Keep me posted!
