i got my surgery the 10th of this month, and i'm just learning how to deal with life, post-op!

i've been big, tall, and later overweight basically my whole life. i originally went into this whole venture with the idea of getting a lap band surgery, but in doing those blood tests, i found out i was diabetic, and decided that i needed to do the gbp instead. i'm glad i did, but at this point, i'm just trying to gather myself together to remind myself that this never was advertised as an easy switch!!

that's a bit about me, how about you??

Yes, I am feeling normal again. I think I may be in a stall because I have been at the same weight for the last 5 days. I am trying to stay positive about it but shoot I would love the scale to move again. I am 2 lbs shy of my 20lbs goal for the month of August. Do you hve any pointers to give?

OMG!!! You have left me behind in the dust!!! I swear, mixing it up and stuff like vacation really does a body good! You are kicking my butt now. I hope my workout this morning moves my scale. It has just been getting slower and slower lately and I don't know what to do!!!??? I really hope my vacation does the same for me that it did for you? I hope you had a good time! How bad was eating and trying to stay on track? I hope you cheated a little bit, it is a magical place afterall, see you still lost!

Hi Katie! We had surgery around the same time (mine was 3/2/09) and I'm sitting at 253lbs right now, making it around a 62 pound loss since surgery, 18 weeks ago. Hang in there! We will get through this. It was an inspiration to read your post today since we are going through the same things. Thanks!

i'm 21 and have PCOS. i've been dealing with it for years, and as of november my OB decided it would be good for me to have WLS. i was no longer having monthly cycles, and being able to have children is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to me. so now i sit here waiting after attending the seminar november 08, and going to the intake appointment end of november 08.
