    Hello Sir,
I have been going thru the process of figuring out what surgery would be best for me and have come time and time again to your posts. I am in CT. and saw the surgeon today for a consult. I told him I was leaning towards the sleeve and he gave me every reason to believe I was making a good choice for me, but I got the feeling that he didnt want to do the surgery due to the problems that can occur from Leaking. Now he said the risks were the same in the leaking department as the GBS, but the leaking in the VSG took much much longer to heal. I got the feeling he wasn't as comfortable with the idea of actually doing the VSG. Then he told me the price for the VSG was 21K, the same as the GBS. I read that you had yours done in Houston TX for 15k? My sister lives in Dallas, I am actually considering having the surgery done in TX. Would you kindly let me know who your surgeon was and if it would be ok for me to contact him? What are your thoughts? Warmest Regards, QT.

    Hi Av,

I am interested in the Vertical Sleeve and wanted to get your perspective. Do you have any insight you would share? Pros? Cons? Regrets?

    Please let me know. Thanks!

    Hey Av-

How's life in your neck of the woods? Any turn around with business yet? How's the weight loss going? Mine is very very slow but I'm glad to be where I am now than where I was a year ago. Have fun on your boat-must be about time to get it out on the water again~ xo

I am such a JERK for not posting this yet. I've been just so upset and miserable post op I haven't been myself.

I wanted to THANK YOU for having your absolutely stunning wife come and check on me at the hospital a week ago after my vsg. She was SO sweet and kind. I'm sure I was a little goofy still on the meds but I was so touched that she came all the way over and found me. My husband had stepped out so they didn't get to meet.

The funniest thing happened after she left though. I won't say what her specialty is but when she left the nurse that had come in leaned in and asked "how do you know her?" I told her how I met you online and how helpful you've been with all the wls stuff, etc etc. She laughed, grabbed my arm, and said "when she told me what kind of dr she was I was worried we did the wrong surgery." I laughed and said, "no, I'm just fat."

Your wife was just the nicest person. I REALLY appreciated it. Please let her know. That was so thoughtful. Thanks!
