Hi there, you look great. I'm still fighting this cold. I have my pre-assessment tomorrow, so it could be make or break. I've been given a new date of 30th Nov. however, if this cold has not gone then it wont be happening.

Hey Avi - I'm great! You are looking really well. I love your new pic! Glad to see you back on here. I know you've probably been here for a while, but then I was gone...

For your entertainment-was in NYC last weekend and while my kids were in rehearsals for their Carnegie Hall debut this Friday, kept myself occupied at the US Marshalls auction of Bernie Madoff's personal effects. Brought home a little ring (gold band w diamonds!) and a French lithograph which hung in their home in the Hamptons. A bit of history... We'll be staying in NY through Tgiving to catch the parade and a few shows. Have a good time in Vegas! Don't cause any trouble ....

Nice avatar update! You look like a mobster with the shades! (albeit, a slender one). Much better than the freaky eyeball you posted last spring!

Love seeing your photos from around the world. You are making good progress getting to the 1000 places to see before you die. Perhaps you should rename your photo album: "The Bucket List". xo

In truth I can't say they that they didn't because my pre-assessment was months ago, 3rd July. Since then I've gone through a lot with these guys, more tests, backwards and forwards with the admissions people - frustration after frustration. So if they told me back then they surely did not remind me of it throughout the many conversations and contacts that we've had. I was not given a information sheet that I could refer to. so hey, who to blame!

I've been sent home they found wheezing on my chest and I was still taking a particular blood thinning drug, on that basis they could not go ahead with surgery.

Hey friend...just checking up on you. Great new pic...you look awesome! See you're still traveling a lot too. Still pluggin' away at it slowly (65 gone total and about 25-35 to go...wow that sounds good to say).

DH and I just got back from a week in AZ (joined him after his business there)...I got to see the Grand Canyon for the first time; and get this...I had no trouble hiking (and no, I haven't been exercising nearly enough, so this shocked me). We even went partway down into the canyon and up; and then up 500' to the top of a Mesa in Sedona. It's freezing here (snow flurries already) so send some warmer weather this way!

Hope all is well with you. Talk to you soon. -BG
