Hola Senorita! How goes it? We drove through Grove City yesterday on our way back from vacation. Have you heard from Paula lately about a possible trip? -Mike

How are YOU doing? TT's been quiet.... everyone's out being busy this summer, I guess! We're still trying to sell our house - the new one will be ready in a month! Guess we'll move and leave this empty for awhile, hoping it eventuallyl sells! NOTHING is selling around here, so it's not just us!

I'm feeling good - no complaints, still happy with my decision to have WLS!

    HUGS from your TT Mom!

Hi I thought I would introduce myself..I'm Sandy and I'm also an aries and very proud of it! So much so I have a tattoo on my right arm. I had the GBP on June 10th 2008. I'm new to this forum chat thing. I have never done this before and have had questions but don't know how to post a thread. I don't really know much about this but I'm learning as I go. You look amazing BTW! I can't even imagine being in the 200 range let alone the 100 range. So if you could maybe help me out I would appreciate it!!! Thanks

Hi Renee, thanks for asking. The liquids really suck. He has me on a 10 day clear liquid diet, which consists of 3 cups a day of apple, grape, cranberry juice, or Gatorade; clear broths, decaf coffee or tea w/ no sugar or creamer; SF jello; SF popsicles or SF frozen fruit bars; SF kool aid & Crystal Light; and 2 or 3 protein drinks a day mixed w/ water only. I can't wait until this part of it is over. I think I need to buy stock in Cottonelle toilet paper, because I get the diarrea at least 3-4 times a days. Makes me wonder why, when I don't have any food in my body to get rid of. Sorry...TMI!!! Anyway, I really have to wonder about the theory of the whole pre-op diet. A couple of days ago, I was talking a lady who lives near me who had surgery last month, and weighed 120 lbs MORE than me. She also had Dr. Eid at Magee. Get this...her pre-op diet was much easier than mine. It was only 7 days instead of 10. And she was allowed milk, and cream of chicken, mushroom, and celery soups until 2 days before the surgery. Go figure, huh? Since she weighed 120 lbs more than me, you'd think our pre-op diets would have been reversed, and she said the same thing. Then I thought, that maybe she had lost a huge amount of weight during the 6 month period, and that's why she got an easier diet...maybe because he figured her liver had already shrunk. Nope, she didn't lose anything during that time frame. And I lost 20 lbs since starting my classes, so you'd think my liver had shrunk some during that. We both concluded that Dr. Eid is using his patients as "human lab rats", lol. He is an assistant professor at Pitt, and is highly involved in research. We figured he must have different pre-op diets that he gives out, and studies the results on the person. Does that make any sense, or do I have pre-op diet brain fog? Believe me, I've had a lot of brain fog lately...I spelled my own name wrong the other day.
